thanks - contact info is provided below for more details. - kory

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

hey everyone -

While the Krispy Kream meets in the past have been ridden with *** hats and high school ricers, things are going to change, and for the better.

Team Project Alpha, Northwest Evolutions, Fleet Signs and Graphics, Tacoma City Police Department, and the Tacoma Krispy Kream managment has joined forces to help ensure that a positive, ***-hat free environment is available to all to enjoy, every Friday and Saturday night.

First and foremost, all people attending the friday/saturday night Krispy Kream meets must sign our statement of agreement, either submitted in person, or emailed to the email's provided below - If participants refuse to sign, security can not identify you as a registered participant. Police will deal with all individuals that do not registered.

Here's the basic info:

TIMELINE: 8:00pm - 11:00 pm - no requirement to stay longer than you feel necessary.
DIRECTIONS: CLICK HERE

  • In the best interest of everyone, reducing the dangerous driving involved with such meets is priority number one. Tacoma Mall wants nothing to do with the meets, so their parking lot is OFF LIMITS.
  • The only area that people will be allowed to park at is inside the Krispy Kream parking lot, and the side road spaces just to the North side of the doughnut shop.
  • Upon parking, you will turn your car off, and ensure that your stereo is turned down below 90 decibels (below the legal limit).
  • Attendees will be appropriate patrons to the facilities by purchasing products from Krispy Kream - not mandatory, but in respect to them providing the space for our meets, some contribution (no, dropping a load in the toilet is NOT a positive contribution, although dookie is ok as long as you keep the restroom clean ) is requested to ensure future meets being good to go.
  • The facilities at Krispy Kream have had negative association in the past from people trashing the restroom, dumping trash/oil on the parking lot, and threatening regular patrons going through the drive thru on the property. These activities will not be tolerated, and if you are caught or reported by either meet participants, or property staff/security/police, you will be restricted from future participation.
  • Attendees who are new or first-comers will be required to have a 2 week (2 friday/saturday) probation with temporary identification/pass before they are given permanent approval - during the 2 week trial phase, if the participant violates the above terms, they will recieve 1 warning. If they continue to be an ***-hat - they will be banned from the meet indefinately.
  • Everyone is a 'Safety Officer' (yes, it is lame military lingo)- if you see unsafe behavior, confront the individual immediately, or report it to myself or one of the on-site security managers. If we cant handle it, then the police will be called.
  • Police will be on scene to ensure event safety. Do not be threatened by their presence or treat them with disrespect. They have expressed their feelings about the event being organized for quite some time now. Nobody has been here to have the ***** to do so, so myself and a few buisnesses/affilliates of Project Alpha are joing forces to ensure a proper meet is in place.
  • NO SOLICITING BY RELIGIOUS, POLITICAL, or non-automotive groups. please contact myself, or one of our affilliates if you wish to setup a nightly booth or another venue with an automotive based theme/product. If you setup a booth without approval, you will be escorted off the premisis.
If you have any questions, please forward your comments to me. I will have the registration form available on site this next friday. Also, within the next 2 weeks
I will also have an identification sticker available to people who are regular attendees. We will have people place the sticker on your windshield in the top right corner, and/or on the top left of your rear window. (dont worry, the sticker will be cool).

Hopefully these terms can be met, or exceeded by current and future participants.

Feel free to forward this to other forums. Some terms are negotiable.

Kory Noble - send me some FEEDBACK!!!

On paper this sounds like a good idea. But I really question how well this will all work out.

This makes hanging out very exclusive, something that leaves me personally uneasy. KK has a tiny parking lot. So once the parking lot is full, what are you gonna do about people cruising? Where is everyone else gonna go? They will all find somehwere else to overpopulate, create problems, and be "asshats". I admire you guys in "trying" to clean house, and I'm sure intentions are good. But regardless of intentions, execution of this plan will give some people the wrong idea.

I myself am siging nothing. If this means not coming to KK, Oh well! No lost sleep from me. Good luck to everyone.......

well things went well - I'll post up pics and give an update -

For the first night, we need to iron out some kinks, but eventually once we get everyone that is pretty much legit, we'll be able to let them know via email/phone/myspace where the next location will be held at.

More updates to come - we ran out of stickers and registration forms - a total of 45 forms were filled out completely, with the others being partially filled out around 30-40 - still working the more exact numbers...

well stickers can be taken off after the meet - Temporary stickers.

Once things are a bit more organized in the upcoming weeks, we'll be able to have special request designs made in a magnet format -

--- put it on the car when you're at the meet, then take it off and put it in your glove box after the meet ---

If you dont sign, you dont need to be there. Its an agreement thats all - no personal info is given to anyone else but us. You can sit there and read the agreement, but if you lag around and fail to sign after 20 minutes, we'll have to ask you to leave, or be escorted off the premisis for loitering.

and yes, even though I arranged the event, I too had to sign the agreement.

update: this is for fridays only for now - until further notice.

I just dont see how you can escort some one off private property that doesnt belong to you. If I go to krispy kreme, park in their parking lot, enter the establishment, buy a beverage and or donuts, I am not loitering. I am entitled to stay there as long as I am business to them. What about the other patrons who might want to use their parking? Like I said, its a small parking lot. With all the people rushing to make it there to ensure their rights to hang out/loiter, because that is what this boils down to. A flat out contradiction, you want some people to be entitled to loiter and the others you dont see fitting to move on somewhere else.

This is all funny to me. Why not go somewhere else? Find another location to house 30 or 40 cars, instead you are trying to run off the other hundreds off "asshats" as you have used so many times before. Let the cops do their jobs and just have a good time.

P.S. Didnt you do the import tour video? The one, where in the ending credits and what not you see subarus doing donuts behind warehouses/private property.
