2.4 block and Evo head?
Just like the DSMers did with the 6 bolt 2.4 blocks and 4g dohc head. Can this be done with an Evo VIII-IX head onto a 2.4 out of an outlander, galant, or any of the new 2.4's?

Thanx. Now my next questions. Did Mitsubishi do the narrow/wide block goofy thing again? Also, is there a rwd mitsu trans that the 2.0/2.4 blocks will bolt upto?

My built 2.4L 4G64 is being built as we speak, with my stock Evo VIII head attatched.

building my 2.4L 4g64 was pretty easy. These are some of the parts used for the shortblock:
Pistons are off the shelf "custom" from the Wiseco catalog. I am using the .20 over bore piston which is part number k548m87.
Rods are just your standard eagle rods that you would buy for the evo8.
I am using ACL bearings which I purchased from Jackson Automachine.
The crank is the same 4g64 I got out of the of the junk yard engine. The crank was in good shape so I had it balanced and just reused it.
Headgasket is a custom evo8 Cometic Headgasket because they do not make one for my 87mm bore.

I went ahead and just reused my evo water pump with a adapter plate which i made. The timing belt I got real lucky on... I ordered the wrong timing belt from JAM. I ment to order an Evo8 one and I got a 2g dohc one. This was before I knew I needed to get a different timing belt
