When running the p2 with other mods( intake, turbo back, upgraded FMIC and upper IC) what should I gap my iridium NKG plugs that I just bought. They are one step colder too. ANybody? Works , I doubt your out there, but if you are please respond as you dont respond to my e-mails

It's just that it's a little crazier around there since DavidV left ... its just the people that actually do the cool work around there so it just takes them a little longer to get back to people.

I think .024 - .025 is right about where it should be. That range also helps eliminate misfire codes.

For those of us with the P2, any reccommendation on what type of new plugs to get?

Asking for a couple reasons:
1) How long should the stock plugs last?
2) P0300 misfire; some are replacing plugs and getting rid of it!
3) Some claim different plugs are needed when running higher boost that stock.

WORKS recommends the OEM plug gapped to factory specs: .028-.031 You shouldn't need to go a range colder with the P2 boost settings.

In my own EVO, I use BGK BPR7ES gapped at .028 (I've used these plugs for years in my previous vehicles without issue).

so how often should we change our spark plugs? how many miles? would you guys also change your spark plug wires everytime you change the spark plugs?

OEM plugs should be OK until 60K. It's a good idea to take them out a time or two to help prevent them from seizing down the road. If you go with a copper plug, you'll want to change them more often (12K-24K).
