Harman Motive Intake for EVO X

So I purchased the Harman Motive Intake, and let me tell you...ISSUES WITH THIS SYSTEM!!!

I live in Northern California and decided to have the intake installed (as well as a bunch of other things) @ GST Motorsports. Installation was going well until we noticed that the BPV Silicone hoses that were sent with the kit (5x1.5" & 9x1.5') were to large to fit to the BPV (Internal Diameter). The stock BPV Hose has an Internal Diameter of 1.25 and the hoses they sent were well over 1.5" in diameter. Very sloppy and would cause leak. I am very disappointed with this system and would not recommend it to anyone. Def. got a good chuckle around the shop though about it...

We had to hack up the stock BPV Hose to get it to work (luckily there was enough length to do so).

Thought Harman Motive would do a little R&D before selling there "branded" products to the general consumer.

Here are some pics, just so you can see how bad it was...

Had to link the pictures because it attached them in the Harman Motive Thread.
Harman Motive Evo X Products in Stock!

Would like to hear what Harman motive has to say on this issue? The pictures provided for the install were good, but even looking at the pictures taken for the directions looked bad (the hoses themselves looked like they had to be over tightened causing the hose to flare...). To top it off the pics also show the intake with T-Bolt Clamps, but they provide cheap arse worm clamps (not that it really matters though).

...spoke to Harman Motive 2 days ago, and have yet to even hear back from them (in any form...). I understand that there @ SEMA right now, but there receptionist shouldn't have made false promises about someone getting back to me about my issue that same day (11/4/2009) if it wasn't a possibility. Figured I would at least get an e-mail or phone call (she took all my info, car type as well as pictures of the issue) with some sort of resolution.

Oh well...

Guess I know who not to order parts from again.

Does Harman make their own Blow Off Valve? Maybe they were sizing it up for theirs?

Either way, sucks it didn't fit.

Thats what im going to eventually do. Right now, funny enough the hacked up stock BPV hose works quite well. Just need to get through my tune, and more then likely will end up buying actually silicone hoses with the "PROPER" internal diameter (1.25) from TurboHoses R&D here in Nor-Cal. I'm just disappointed that its obviously not just my kit that has this issue and this is actually how they sell there kit.

I'm going to try again with Harman on Tues, hopefully they will step up to the plate and send the correct size hoses free. But if not, guess I will do what you did.

I have the same intake and mine didnt come with the wrong hose. I didnt have any problems with it all. They are a great company wont do you wrong, just give them a chance and they will make it right. Trust me they bent over backwards to insure there exhaust and intake would arrive quickly to me and I live in Germany (military). I was very pleased by there customer service and products.

It was just a packaging error. Since the hoses arent labeled I'm sure it was just a simple mistake. Harman OVERNIGHTED the correct hoses once they got back from SEMA at no charge.

I wouldn't bash the whole intake just because someone in their shipping department goofed

Update:

Harman Motive contacted the shop in which i purchased the intake through, and will be overnighting the correct hoses to me. They apologized for the inconvenience. I should be receiving the correct hoses by Wednesday of this week.

Glad to see they were willing to correct this (the hose issue) issue.

Thanks.
