MAP flywheel/ QM twin disc setup review
MAP custom lightweight steel flywheel is an excellent piece that fit/works perfectly with the QuarterMaster twin disc clutch setup. The clutch definitely takes some getting used to vs. stock and the Spec Supertwin clutches i've previously had. The noise is present, but nothing IMO to complain about. The engagement is on/off and my clutch engages about an inch off of the floor. You can slip it if you wanted to, but that is how you will wear out the discs in a very short time. I can shift as fast as I want and being much smaller/lighter the shifts are like "butter". It has held my 570whp/33+psi of boost with no problems and no break-in....I'm happy with this clutch 100%

QM is a pain to drive in every day situations, just my opinion. I am looking to upgrade to something with less noise, like the feeling of the stock clutch that holds power!

definitely ON/OFF engagement if driven properly....not a friendly clutch for the daily driven evo

Wouldn't we all! lol This clutch isn't for everyone, but if you don't mind a little noise and aggressive engagement it will hold whatever you throw at it

I have this clutch as well. After a track night 2-3 days after install, it was fully broken in. You can definately tell when its hot, its gets very aggressive. I daily drive my car and coming from a competition clutch stg4 6puck it wasnt too bad at all. Its a bit aggressive off the line at a red light, but after that its not bad at all. I hope it lasts a little while, since im street driving it as well.
One thing for sure, you really cant fudge a launch from a clutch point of view, it launches the same wether you try to slip it, dump it, etc. I love the consistancy of launches.
