yeah if you want to dyno it, its not a problem at all just something we normally don't do. (we use datalog lab to get HP and torque numbers when needed)

Is there a way we can get on a dyno and tune the car that way? Just wondering for when I get the cams. I hear it's better to do. Also, I'm having so many issues with my car now tune-wise b/c of the X's limiters.

We can use steve kans mustang dyno. He's a really awsome guy, will let us tune on his dyno, and his rates are very good.

I had a question about the street tune. Will I be driving the car while its being tuned, or will someone else drive the car? Also do they have like a certain spot to do the tune where we dont have to worry about getting tickets or pulled over? Thanks

i would assume so man of course lol. your going to go to some back country road thats mostly straight and less likeyhood of cops way out there. I dont think he is going to take you down town and say pull it . also i dont see why you will not be driving you do a 3rd gear pull to rev limit a couple times and he changes afr level etc. if you cant do that then maybe its time for N/A cars

Drives: 05 Silver Evo 8.5, 03 TB Evo 8 Project, 03 Flat Black Evo 8 daily, 07 R1... Also Sievers' 2.3L Evo 8 @ 40+ psi

Every street tune I've ever had, the tuner drives the car. There are probably situations that the tuner wants to simulate to accomodate for, like higher load in higher gears, lower load, etc. The fuel/air tables need to be adjusted for each of these.

My first street tune a long time ago, the guy said I had to pay for any tickets he got. I'm sure there's a safe street nearby to do a few WOT pulls with no cops patrolling.

I don't drive the car unless you don't want to. It's easy enough to tell you what I need you to do, and tuning from the passenger seat is far easier and safer ten trying it from the driver side. I have a few roads we can use. Of course there is always a risk of getting pulled over, but of the many hundreds of road tunes I've done, only one guy got a ticket. And that was on a travel tune in his hometown. I am very careful about when and where we tune to minimize risk. There are no garantees of no tickets though.... Unless it's on a dyno.

Thats fine. I was just curious. All my other cars that were turbo were sent in and got dyno tuned. I was never present. ROCKMAN, lets not worry about whether or not I need N/A. If I can handle a 1200hp BPU Supra, I'm sure I can handle just about anything. And my bike, thats another story, I have skill. Maybe when your evo gets to fast, you can step down to the Z lol.

Thanks Kevin, sounds good. Still looking forward to the tune. I have two months before I'm out of this nasty country. Thanks brother
