Slowboy Racing in Fl

I'm writing this to let everyone know of the outstanding customer service I experienced with Slowboy Racing. I was in the market for a new clutch and flywheel. I’ve been doing research looking for the best setup for what I have now and my goals in the near future (now that I got the launching and dragging out of my system). I called Slowboy to see what they had to say about what I figured I’d need and spoke with Marti. Before I go any further…thanks Marti for the help. Marti listened to what I had in mind and told me where I was on the right track and where I was headed in the wrong direction. What I really liked about the whole thing was that he didn’t just go for the Fidanza to make that extra money, he was open and honest with me and got me the best setup for my price range and goals. Honesty was key with this transaction.

I was originally going to go with the Fidanza setup which was going to run me upwards of $1000.00. After Marti and I talked he directed me to a similar setup that would hold a little shy of the torque the Fidanza would hold and be over 300.00 cheaper since they “will not be undersold.” Once the price was determined, I explained that the recession is kicking our butts (mine included) so I would need a little bit of time to stack my chips like Pringles. After a chuckle or two from that comment my information was taken and Marti assured me that the price he quoted me would be the same when I called back to place the order.

A week goes by and I receive a call. Slowboy racing shows up on my caller ID and its Marti checking on me to see how I was doing and if I was ready to place the order. He then reassured me the price has not changed and quoted me the exact number he did before…remember it’s a recession so I’m remembering every penny that needs to come out of my pocket right now.

So finally, my Pringles are stacked and I’m ready to place my order. I get Marti on the phone and as soon as he hears my name he remembers my order. All in all, this has got to be the best customer service I’ve had placing an order over the phone. My hats off to Slowboy and a huge shout out to Marti for the help. I will be buying from Slowboy again if I don’t make a road trip and have a beer with Marti!

Thanks guys!

I'll update when I get the clutch and flywheel in to let you know how fast it got here.

Thanks again. Clutch didn't go in as smooth as buying it was but we got it done in my garage. Collectively, it took a good day to have it out, changed, and back together. Sending more people your way Marti!

NP SparkTech. I actually want to see you guys also about a COP for mine. I may not be a 9 Sec or a 10 sec car for that matter but you gotta start somewhere. When I shoot down to Orlando I'd love to pay you guys a visit and learn some stuff about your systems. See how long I have to stack my chips like pringles to get one.

^ Thanks and you don't have to have a 9 or 10sec evo or even a 11sec evo to benefit from one of our Ignition packages.

Yea I feel ya ours may not be the cheapest available, but what we offer is a Quality product and in this world that comes at a price. What we have done is bring a level of Quality and Performance to the Evo community that hasn't been done before.

We could have made them cheaper but that has been done before..actually still is.

I recently purchased Part for my Evo through Marti @ Slowboyracing and WOW !!!

Customer service is as humble as ever, Marti Honored a Price that was only offered through a " Group Buy " which ended couple of days before I placed my order. Marti, Thank You for getting me a banging deal, eventhough its not alot of $$$, but I can say one thing for sure That was the Beginning of a Great relationship. Thank You !

* Looking forward to buying more things in very very near-future *

my friend personally has had a different kind of experience with SBR. He had ordered a SBR 60-1 turbo and full ic piping for his 1g... he was told he would receive the ic piping before the turbo.. well, the turbo came in about 2 weeks which SBR said it would come.. but no ic piping.. finally 3 1/2 weeks later his box shows up on his door step with ic piping that he did not need, alot of tbolt clamps he did not need, and on top on that he didnt even get the hotside ic piping that he needed the most, after multiple times trying to get through with them they said he will have it by the end of the week, i would think that they should overnight it, since it was their mistake and now he has to wait even longer... another buddy ordered a 6262 from them that was internally gated, they helped him out in every way possible.. so maybe they were just having a bad week?
