Synapse bov with Tial flange (Boost Leak)

I have been running this flawless bov for several years now. I have the Buschur UICP with the Tial flange. Everything has been great up until I did a boost leak check.....

5 lbs put in via a compressor, and it comes right back out. The leak is coming from under the synapse tial adapter and tial weld on flange on the UICP. No matter what orientation the clamp and bov are in, it still leaks.

There is no gasket in between these two pieces. So I made a gasket to go inbetween the two pieces, but it still leaks. This leads me to believe it is either the clamp, or synapse tial adapter insert.

Hopefully Synapse Engineering or someone else who has encountered this can shed some light on this. As I firmly believe this is the best bov on the market, but if this leak can't be fixed, I will have no choice but to go another route. Not holding 5 lbs of boost when i run 30 daily...wont work.

Thanks for reading.

Excellent. I will track down the o ring and see if this does the trick.

Thanks!

lol, well looks like I can't get it from FP, as they have a $20 minimum order amount. Any other vendor want to hook me up with one of these?

You may try an Ace Hardware and look for an o-ring with these dimensions...

2 3/16 x 2 3/32
#73 O-Ring
Stock Number 35720B
Danco Company

Wow, thanks man. I will try to see if I have an ace hardware anywhere around me...don't think I have ever been to one now that you mention it.

Tractor Supply stores (go by many names) normally have them too. Give that a shot.

Seems like this particular o ring is hard to track down in a normal store. I found it on amazon, so I can at least get it. I was hoping to find a local dealer so I could get this leak fixed sooner rather than later.

Update:

The o ring from chris at nolimit came in yesterday, and I installed it yesterday night. After the install, which was a pain in the ass for some reason, the o ring didnt want to stay in place at first. The boost leak was fixed.

I found another leak at a vaccume T, fixed that, and then found another one, which I couldnt pinpoint.

I will open another thread to get some insight on this.
