SparkTech NonCDI

I finally got my car tuned with the SparkTech NonCDI. First let me say that I tried to order the kit before their sale ended but my internet wasn't working. I talked to Craig about it and he gave me the original sale price, free t-shirt and all. I asked him a few questions regarding the system, plug gap, etc, and he was very prompt in answering my questions. I believe some of them were even on the weekend. A++++++ for customer service.

I originally installed the ST on old plugs gapped at .022 and there was noticeable improvements instantly. Smoother idle being what I was mainly after.

Last night I put in new plugs gapped at .028 and took it for a drive. I was impressed to say the least. Driveability is 10X better with the plug gapped opened up and that wouldn't be possible without the SparkTech ignition.

Today I put it on the dyno for a well needed tune. The end result was 27.7lbs of boost with stock turbo/meth at a .028 gap, no signs of misfire or any other ignition problem. Base tune was 317/263. Finished at 373awhp/369tq. Base tune was 317/263. Stopped tuning due to running out of fuel at 96%IDC. I'm sure the ST can handle plenty more as it has been proven to.

Thanks to Craig at ST for a perfectly crafted ignition and his great customer service and to CREWDAWG130 for the tune

Cool man, I didn't know there would be such a difference by just doing the ignition. But then again you now have a Bobby tune.....which I am in need of, him or Ric anyways.....

The difference in driveability is the best. Before it didn't even want to stay running half the time. Extremely erratic at idle. That and it just looks sexy!

Yeah. I was waiting until today to post my review after the tune, so I figured I'd post in yours, lol. I'm sure your going to like the SparkTech when you get it tuned next week. Those extra thousands of an inch make a huge difference on how the car runs.

On a serious note, glad to hear of your positive results. Thanks for taking the time for the quick review. Keep us posted on the next dyno tune, and once you get the fuel issue resolved.

Will do. I didn't even need an intake in that picture. There is a mountain dew shirt stuffed in the turbo, lol. There was also a bolt broken off the hotside and probably every other problem you could think of.

So dirt and crap doesn't get all over in there. And it looks like something is missing.

If your talking about something missing in the picture there is a lot missing in that picture. Car was still in the garage on jack stands and I was waiting for some DP bolts to arrive. I assure you there is nothing missing now. I'd cover it up if I actually drove the car a lot. It's about to get garaged for 4 months too.
