Yeah I am not liking my SSQV either. It was on the car when I bought it and am looking for a forge RS now.

Exactly. ^^This is the only "surge" I get from my Red. It doesn't surge in any other gear, and I have the regular one not the one with the fancy shroud.

I think that it may be a little bit of both actually. For some reason you get a small surge at first then The BOV goes nuts in this car. I might be able to cover some of it up with a stiffer spring. Guess I will try that first.

I'm not trying to slam. By my first impressions of the turbo is what my review is on. Emery just contacted me and we are gonna try switching springs when I come back to ny. If this isn't a review section then let me know. Hope it gets fixed honestly cuz I want to go for the record

This issue will not stop you from any record Chris, as it only happens in low rpm in 4th and 5th gear.

Emery, Convince him he needs something else, and I will buy that POS turbo from him.

Like I said, my tial only serged when the feed line was connected to the MBC which bleeds off boost - same as having a tear...

To the OP I think you are the first person to experience surge which to be honest with you sounds more like something else. Compressor surge wouldn't be violent as you describe

i bet this is a bov issue as people have been suggesting. i'm running a stock (crushed) evo ix bov, and it will surge if i stomp it in 5th at low rpm. i will end up having to get a forge bpv or something.

Sorry for misrepresenting Tial, or using the wrong term, which should have been flutter. But yes, Tials can FLUTTER too.

if everything is set up properly it shouldn't, however flutter from 0-5psi isn't going to hurt anything
