get rid of a TiAL for an APS or Synchronic ???? i know they are both good BOV's, but that is absolutely ridiculous !!!!!! the TiAL will hold more boost than almost any BOV out there, those 2 bovs would be a step in the wrong direction...

thatwouldnt really matter. That just can reflect partial throttle and idle. I have a 12 lb spring on my stock turbo and it runs absolutely perfect.

putting a tial on a stock ecu/MAF car is already as far in the wrong direction you can go. the APS works very well. the syncronics i've seen to many issues with already to recommend them. if your at all concerned with drivability, the tial is not the right choice.

I was running the HKS SSQV and it held the boost just fine but drive ability would suffer and so would gas mileage my APS hold 33psi no problem.

+1
I cut off almost every tial that comes into the shop and replace it with a a BOV that recirculates....
I had the syncronic on my car to test it and I ended up going back to my forge. The problem with the syncronic was part or constant throttle. The BOV dumps everything off so fast that under neutral driving conditions the car bucked and fell on its face, but during WOT pulls and shifts everything was Great....

problems i've seen with the syncronic are the set screws that hold the BOV onto the the tube connected to the UICP come apart at high boost, fluttering sounds at WOT, and part throttle issues denver has mentioned. but all of this is still better then the problems TIALs give at idle/cruise/decel.

All this crap about Tial's is rediculous. Me and all my friends have Tials on stock ecu/maf and have NO issues. I dont know where you guys get this from. Some people have issues with it, and that is ok. But with it properly tuned, the car runs just like it did with a stock bov, except for the possible partial throttle flutter crusing on the highway.

+1... I've been running Tial for 2 years and it runs FAR BETTER then the Forge for me. I had to get re-tuned for it because I would get super rich on decel, and I had to switch the spring in it. Once set, I have never had any fluttering no matter what gear or RPM. I drive my EVO in the city and the highway and I don't get any of that. I honestly don't know where some of you are having issues. I don't have a single one that's BOV related... Just needs to be tuned for it....

Seems someone cant tell the difference between BOV surge and COmpressor surge.. Nice post slamming FP when you really dont know what the issue is.. Maybe drive over to STM and ask emery to drive it so he can show you what your issue is.,.

To the OP: Are you running an MBC?
My tial BOV was getting vacuum from the hose running to the MBC and that caused the surge.
