What is the stock gap for the plugs?? Or the one that everyone without a COP plug averagely uses?

yeah sounds like a great guy to deal with...just started reading through everything and see that his coils havent came in yet due to less then honest people and/or vendors. all is well was just trying to understand what was going on.

hopefully these will be available soon

Got word they shipped Friday rather than this coming Tuesday. I emailed the supervisor of my contact with a little help from a friend of mine who is fluent in Japanese. That got the situation solved relatively quick.

COPs are supposed to provide more consistent spark during air and fuel changes within the cylinder chamber over stock, and his does. The "Idle Stability Control" table in the 96530006 ROM that I run adjusts for variations of fuel and air in an attempt to maintain proper short term fuel trims. Since the spark is more consistent, I'm able to choke down the timing fluctuation value by 400% from 8 to 2 on the amplitude, and drop the frequency of that amplitude change by 50% from 128 to 64 without suffering abnormalities; basically meaning the ECU doesn't have to work that hard to compensate for incomplete burns from idle into higher RPM vs load ranges. That's just an example.

It's done a lot to keep my AFRs consistent during wot pulls back to back, which permits me to concentrate on other aspects of my car's tune. I also run psi based ECU controlled boost with an aftermarket BCS without so much as a hiccup. Basically, it works.

I can't comment on the Sparktech unit, since I've never used one. But the Spoolinup unit is working extremely well. And dollar for dollar it's one of the better mods I've bought. Definitely worth the investment.

I just wanted to give my review of a product I didn't know could do this much for my car; non-CDI COPs in general.

I wish I had this unit when I did this Dyno Pull.
i'm sold.

That's a large moral dilemma. Personally I'd probably blow the money!
