Forced Performance Buschur Racing HTA86 .82 turbo review 700awhp DLL @40psi stock ecu
I've had the pleasure of running the HTA35R with the .63 for some time and saw some nice 600awhp DLL's on the stock mas/ecu and 93 octane which propelled the full weight Mellon Tuning evo to 10.41 @ 135 as some of you may already know.
see video:
http://www.racevideoforums.com/forum...k-ecu-mas.html
I've been very pleased with that setup. Then came along the HTA86 which promises similar spool and more power and an opportunity to go from the .63 to the .82 which I suspect becomes necessary as you get into the 40psi range. My carefully calibrated butt dyno sensed very little change in daily driving an WOT power. I ran some logs through DLL to see the difference and it agrees. I also noticed that to achieve 33.5ish psi on the HTA35R .63 I had my EBC set to 72% duty cycle and now with the HTA86 .82 it's only 66% duty cycle. I was seeing 10psi by 3500 on the HTA35R and now I'm seeing 7-8psi by 3500 on the HTA86. I plotted the boost curve in excel taken from measurements I saw in my video of the boost gauge vs RPM. Sorry I don't have an overlay with the HTA35R.63
see video:
http://www.racevideoforums.com/forum...ane-32psi.html
here's the DLL from on of the 3rd gear pulls at 32psi on 93 octane
I later did a g-tech run to see where I'm at and with the tires blazing through first gear and lifting to shift:
60' 1.88
1/4 10.80
mph 136.9
I'm sure this could be improved with better traction and powershifting..also I only made on attempt
I went out on q16 and eased the boost up to 40psi...some pretty nice gains after 8 or so tuning pulls.
the first chart is the new one and the second is c16 @ 40psi vs 93 @ 33psi. Keep in mind I went 10.41 @ 135 when I had 600awhp in DLL with a 1.68 60' on the 17" BFG drag radials
here's a video on pump and race gas

Big thanks to Buschur/FP putting together a killer combination...I feel pretty confident about going 9's in 09 with the stock ecu/mas

You have been very busy my man! That information is very valuable. I don't take many notes on lower boost being hit so it is very interesting to see. I'll have to do some comparisons. Do you have (man I hate to freaking as something like this) logs from both to hit 20 psi. I am only asking because that is the point of reference I use and I'd like to compare your numbers to what I am seeing.
Very good to have you as part of the team and we sure do appreciate all your support and you going FAST with our parts.
I can't wait to see the first stock ECU in the 9's!

I don't log boost since I don't have the JDM 3bar pressure sensor/mods, so I'd have to study some old video of my RPM/Boost and then plot that into excel. I've been meaning to do it but I've got so much going on that I just haven't made time for it. I'll add it to my to do list though

Yes, it is completely out ... When you get this much power on the stock ecu, even with it epoxied in, there is still a chance of it getting sucked in.. Plus Mellon has had good luck with taking out the Honeycomb in his Stealth...
