I am watching this as well for my 4088R build. I'd like to see it on a larger turbo like a 35r eventually.

Sort of an intake manifold design junkie and this cast piece looks good, even on the stock stuff. I like it.

There is a dyno graph from a 35r car on magnus website

We just got 3 more in, and the design looks to be a little different from the prototype we tested (externally only) but it looks like it will be even better now. We also got one of the Dual rail cast manifolds for a high horsepower E85 build in the near future

Magnus always made awesome manifolds. They were always my favorite to use and tune. Hope they make one for the X soon!

With such impressive gains, I'm giving some thought to running this manifold, but does it have all the needed ports for vacuum lines? I was thinking that at the minimum, it should have:

1) port for FPR
2) port for brakes
3) port for DV
4) port for MAP sensor
5) on the stock IM, there's a fairly fat vacuum line that goes back behind the IM, I'm wondering what that does.

Are there any issues with getting it to work with stock upper intercooler piping and a stock battery?

Does anything have to be relocated, bent, or cut to make room for the IM?

bump for the questions posted before me. I'm curious as well with fitment issues and the usual stock stuff that are hooked up to a stock intake mani. I have the buschur short route uicp and was curious how it would fit being that the tb section has a right curvature.

This looks very nice indeed. I wonder what the gains would be on a stock turbo setup running straight 93 octane. I wish we had E85 readily available here. :sigh:

Sorry about the delays on the answers fellas.

All the ports are there for brakes, FPR, and DV vacuum. The one you are thinking of MRfred is for emissions I think? The MAP sensor requires a solution as there are no bungs on the manifolds for it. We have been creative so far and done a hose adapter around the end of the MDP/MAP with a small clamp. The other end gets a barb and reducer and plumbs back in like normal.

None of the cars we have done have had the same intercooler piping let alone stock. The wiring harness needs to get rerouted (tucked) to make sure everything reaches, the dipstick tube requires a little bending to get it to snake in right.

I believe Marco is doing or has done an FAQ on his site.

Are we talking about the Magnus V5 or Magnus SMIM here? Also, regardless of which intake manifold chosen, should I also run an aftermarket throttle body or is the intake manifold alone plenty? Thanks.
