Hey Lucas I know it is not an accurate type of measurement.... but exactly how lean did the car go when you bolted on the new Magnus manifold? I'm curious because I don't have a dyno where I live, but I know I went a half point lean when I bolted on the kansai.
Nice result BTW... I'd love to see a "new kid on the block" intake manifold shootout. AMS, MAGNUS, WILSON.

The more powerful pull looks smoother. If the smoothing factor is the same on both then the car is making power with less effort, which is great. Looks like it may be more detonation resistant which make it a "must have" for 93 octane folks.

Aaron did the quick street tune and he said it was about a full point leaner. We did not try to push the car at all. Just bolted it on and dialed the ARFR in and the intake did the rest.

Both cost and time prohibitive. It would be cool but between having to mod the upper pipes on alot of the manifolds and the actual install would keep it fairly limited. We can always use corrected numbers to make sure that the test results are fair as they get stretched out over a period of time but even then someone is going to claim that since it wasnt done on the same day its not accurate.

Damn a full point.. let's let some math wiz tell us how mach calculated hp that is based on IDC and injector size.
Seriously!

Nice results indeed. The smoother Power curve from the Magnus intake is probably do to the equal flow distribution...keeping a better balance of power strokes between the cylinders.

It had been 12.0 AFR at 83% with a single 255lph on 1200cc RC injectors. It went 13.1 on me during a partial pull which quickly lead to some fuel being added in and then parked for the night before the dyno. The next day the first pull was 470whp and after reviewing the log, making some changes we were able to make a consistent 474whp.
This manifold picked up torque OUT OF BOOST as well as a ton during spool and all the way to redline. I am very pleased with how this turned out and it is a part that we'll now be stocking after our testing. We have always known the other Magnus manifolds work awesome for making great horsepower and the Cast is no different.

yep, when I put on the buschur shorty/head/bf272 the AFR went from 11's to 12's and worried me for a second but amazingly not a single count of knock anywhere, that's when you know you're on to something really good!

I will be ordering this manifold very shortly
It was amazing to see how much power Mike's car picked up just from this.
