You can't stop it......you can only hope to contain it!!!
I don't think that's possible anymore.. Its a full on epidemic, every week a new turbo, the next week another 9 sec street car.. I love it!
I'm starting to think its time to build a DD evo

As I usually do after making changes to the car, I try to evaluate the POTENTIAL before going to the track. Often, those numbers give us a target to shoot for. I've done this on every change we've made and have been extremely close to knowing how well the car should perform. This time, I decided to run the numbers, and then, cross check it with the 4 total passes that the car has made on the big turbos. By using the 2 full runs and the 1 aborted run (after the 1/8th) we've already had the PIECES to an 8.96 run in only 3 passes. This coincides fairly close to what the program says.
This is my COULDA_SHOULDA_WOULDA for the day.
0-60=1.411 (we made two 1.41's)
60-330 = 2.439 (aborted run)
330-1/8th = 1.979 (aborted run)
1/8th-1/4 = 3.132 (9.20 run)
The 60' came from 'run 1', the 60-1/8th came from run 2 on the aborted run and 1/8th-1/4 came from our 9.20 run. So basically, with the 60' time on the aborted run and then using the 1/8th - 1/4 on the only good full pass (9.20 run), we WOULDA-COULD_SHOULDA run an 8.96. The program says we should be able to go 8.82 @ 158.997mph. That's FP86HTA.jpg hta86.txt
I'm not saying we've run an 8.96 run!!! I'm just showing the community my thought process as to how and if we can get there. To me, it simply shows that I'm at least being realistic to think we can make it. David, I promise no more C_S_W's.
Let me tell you, this turbo makes the last half of the quarter mile go by REAL FAST. Think about it, 3 seconds to cover an 1/8th of a mile with 850 whp at your foot. I'm so torn between the power of the FP 86HTA and the quickness and spoolup of the FP-Red. The Red, on the streets with 9 second potential. You don't fear too many cars with that kind of power under the hood. Come to think of it, you don't fear ANY car with that kind of power under the hood.
no doubt, I have video of a new ZR1 at the track which is probably going to be THE fastest car i'll encounter on the street around here. I ran 11.2 @ 131 and it was a nice feeling to know that I have him covered like a blanket even with 93 octane just like I drive it to work every day.
