I've been over 380kpa load for a long time, it hasn't posed a problem yet but I'm not sure how far over it I am. As I increase load with more boost it might pose a problem....maybe not.

This is how it's going to go most likely, I'm currently shooting for 600awhp on 93 octane (DLL) that would put me 100awhp over the previous stock head/shorty/hks280 setup. I'm only 30awhp away from that goal and there's zero signs of knock...I think I can do it with 1-2 degrees more timing.
1) try high timing at 30psi (currently being done)
2) try low timing at 35psi?
3) try .82 with both strategies
move on to c16 race gas when I want more power and repeat the process with the exception being that I won't go back to a .63 once I put the .82 on.

Since you are seeing 0 counts of knock on 30 psi.. just keep uping that timing buddy I would figure that low timing at 35 will yield similar results to high timing on 30.. but who knows hehe.. oh yeah.. i forgot about that .82 .. that might help you get 600 on pump if you can't with the .63 This is just such an exciting build.. I <3 you!!

Seeing as how Dave Buschur usually uses higher psi with lower timing, I am willing to wager that #2 would be the best strategy with either hotside.
Pretty friggen sick results for the stock ECU!
Nobody 2 years ago would have predicted you could push the ecu that far!

I think higher boost/lower timing will make more power to a point...I just don't know what pressure on this particular setup is going to show diminishing returns.
Also, I'm not sure which way would be more abusive to the engine (high timing or high boost) seems like power is power and it wouldn't matter but that's something DB might be able to answer. I had pretty dismal timing values in the previous setup to run 30psi but I never had a problem with burned valves or other potential high EGT issues some would associate with low timing.

That's another thing I am worried about Mellon... I hope we don't get it to the point where it is VERY hard on our new motors and they don't last as long because of the tuning..

I'm really not worried about damaging it at all, I can afford to rebuild it...I push my own cars hard so my customers can benefit from my experience.

Well that's good to know ... I know how long your other motor lasted with the abuse you put it through.. so i know your tuning methods are definitely safe bro! hehe

Evan aren't you guys due for another trip to my house for a ride? that was so damn funny when your friend would squeal like a little girl everytime I went WOT haha! I took my neighbor for a ride yesterday and he went into this ridiculous laughter and when he settled down he said "damn we got to get my mustang to run like this" I told him "it' has way too many cylinders slowing it down"

Yea well I've got a whole bunch of new parts that are going to be going on the car pretty soon so I may have to see what you can do with it. I ended going with one of the ets billet 6262 kits with thier FMIC and whatnot I've just gotta get a few more things before I can put it all together. But yea I'll never forget that listening to him scream everytime you would hit boost. I wish we had had a video camera.

I bought an aquamist HSF-5 kit and the HTA 35R at the same time. The plan was to use meth to get 500awhp....once I was able to meet my goal on 93 octane I decided to sell the meth kit.

a couple of guys are getting some crazy numbers with the 6262 that should be interesting. I had no idea you wanted that much power
