Theres a huge negative effect on powershifting, besides the increased danger of blowing your trans, destroying your linkage/forks/sliders, You can also get a nice lockout and over-rev.
Sick vid Chris! Car has come a long way! You have provided so much information and knowledge for the Evo community! YOU ROCK!

oh you must be talking about the video I posted on www.racevideoforums.com in the Memphis section
big turbo formula on slicks and skinnies, full roll bar, parachute, automatic, ams1000 progressive ebc etc... runs low low 9's at 150mph+ My lil 4 banger evo on straight 93 octane through the stock ecu/mas wore him out

Holy freaking crap! Nice video. I bet 100 guys have asked already but I'm too lazy to go look. How close have you found the Gtech to be compared to the track? The car looks fast for sure. I can't believe the RPM you are running the engine too!haha. You probably don't need to go that high just so you know. Even my car we only run to 8500-9000 on the shifts, the car drops back to peak torque if you do that and will accelerate quicker. Hope you don't mind the input.

thanks David, I've taken the g-tech to the track with me on many occasions and found it was quite accurate to the tenth and sometimes the 100th with the mph being right on as well. It's one hell of a tuning tool for when you can't get to the track. I'm thinking about hitting the test n tune this thursday night on 93 octane to see if I can crack the 10 second barrier now that I have drag radials instead of street tires and now that I'm power shifting instead of lifting to shift.
I intended to start my shifts at 8000-8500 but first gear spun so bad it went up to nearly 9500 where I have the limiter set I wasn't expecting that.
David your cars and the ones you've been cranking out and working with are an inspiration to me, of course your input is welcomed and appreciated

David builds a kick ass motor and I'm confident in it but I don't want my neighbors thinking there's a madman loose with a pissed off chainsaw in the neighborhood I'll try to keep it to a reasonable level, I want it to last a long time
