Mellon Tuning - best E-mail tune - by far
Mellon tuning is by far the best in customer service and making sure you are happy and your car is running at its full potential without compromising safety.
I have had experience with another e-mail tuner who was responsive, not nearly as quickly as Mellon though, and gave me 1 updated map from only 2 datalogs, after that I was on my own.
This is not the way Mellon works, he will keep updating my map as many times as it takes until I and he are satisfied and agree that the tune looks good and safe. I started with knock sums in the 9-10 area now they are down to a seldom 1 or 2.
Now I do not want to just boast about this new tune with words - I have a picture he overlayed for me of my old E-flash tune and my new Mellon E-flash tune from a software graphing tool.
http://www.mediafire.com/?6mnl3flhw7q
The results speak for themselves and I am very, very pleased with how my car performs and the margin of safety I have tuned into my car. I am going to a real AWD dyno in a few weeks and I will post results graphs when I get them, until then just use this as a visual tool - not to be compared to actual dynos - but a good way to overlay two different tunes virtually.

wow, thanks guys, that was real nice.
It was a pleasure working with both of you...my process is a bit tedious but it's worth it if you want every last bit of power the car can make and we can't have any slow EVOs running around

Another satisfied customer here too.
You ABSOLUTELY can not get better customer service than what you get from Mellon...
I actually feel kind of guilty that he charges such a low price, it fells like I'm ripping HIM off!
I've had tunes from 2 other major tuners on this site, and have datalogged and checked them all... Some of what I found was downright terrible, no other excuse for it!
I could not get an reasonable explanation from the other tuners as to how to fix those issues... Mellon cleared this all up for me, and explains his reasons in great detail... When you do good, honest work, you have nothing to hide.
I am actually working with Mellon on tuning my EVO IX MR right now... I met him back when I had an VIII, and can't imagine myself going anywhere else.
Best money you can spend for your EVO, modded or bone stock... What could be better than more power AND better miles per gallon?

I'm up in the air right now about tuning, there are alot of options for who to go with these days. Definately need to get it done soon, but also need the cable and wideband/gauge. Recommendations?

the link in my sig has information about where to get the software/hardware and I recommend something from www.innovatemotorsports.com for the WB02 but there are other options out there.
