Restricted participation was implemeneted in this forum as protection for our site members against spammers! Here is an excerpt from a post in the rules thread which can be reached by clicking the link in my sig:
It is the policy of Evolutionm.net to permanently ban any member who after a brief investigation is believed to be scamming another member out of money or goods.
All for sale transactions must have a thread in the appropriate forum. No items may be sold in a members signature unless it contains a link to the For Sale thread. This policy is to ensure that scam claims are not made when there is no public evidence of the item for sale through the public forum. Any member who fictitiously reports a scam will be permanently banned.
No items may be offered for sale in any thread or post anywhere in the forums except in the For Sale sections. Any posts or threads offering any item for sale outside the appropriate section will be immediately deleted and the poster is subject to warning or a temporary ban. This policy is necessary to control the environment in which items are offered for sale. Additionally this policy will apply to all areas of the forum including regional forums.
All new members need to be aware of the For Sale policy and not enter into any transactions to which they cannot post in the For Sale thread. The For Sale forum rules are in place to curb scamming and help avoid people with no standing in the community from perpetrating a scam. The ability to use the For Sale forum is a privilege not a right. The rules for posting in the For Sale section have been adjusted to a minimum of 50 posts and being a member for at least 30 days. All members are reminded to check a sellers personal rating before entering into a transaction and to leave feedback after a transaction.
Vendor sales are regulated under agreements in place between this site and said vendor. This policy does not apply to vendor sales. Any issues with a vendor should be handled in accordance with the rules already stated in the rules section.
Any member who feels they have been scammed and have exhausted their resources to rectify the situation with the seller may PM their claim to one of the following Super Mods; timzcat, blonde, or Speedlimit.
We will investigate your claim and attempt contact the accused party to resolve the situation. If it is determined that an amicable resolution will not be reached then the accused will be permanently banned from this site. Any person accused of scamming another member will be given ample time to respond to the claim and/or rectify the situation. All decisions to ban a member from this site will be final.
This policy is intended to help protect the members of this site from being defrauded. This policy is only to identify those who have taken money and never delivered a product. This is an identifiable criminal act and it is those members we wish to remove.
We will not arbitrate disagreements over condition of product upon arrival or any such matters. Any help provided by the staff in these matters is done so at the sole discretion of said moderator. Any help provided by a moderator in this situation will not result in a permanent ban of a member but if it is a recurring issue with a particular member their privilege to sell will be removed.
