FS:CA Internally upgraded Stock Evo X turbo 450whp capable Price drop 1-28-11
Up for sale is a OEM Evo X turbo that I sent in to a local company to have reworked for more power. The inlet was bored out to receive a larger compressor wheel, while the turbine housing was also bored out to receive a larger turbine wheel.
I have attached some pictures for comparison between a stock X turbo and my modified unit. You can see the size difference of the wheels on both sides between the two turbos. The compressor wheel is rated at 50lb. min. and should be good for about 450whp with a slight loss in spool over the stock turbo but not too much. Exhaust wheel is a 11 blade Inconel unit.
The center cartridge and bearing were perfectly fine but I had them rebuilt when the new wheels and machine work was done for reliability sake. This turbo has never been installed/run since I had the reworking done to it.
Price is $650 shipped including Paypal fees to the contiguous United States.

No this is not a FP turbocharger. It does not have a billet compressor wheel. A local company specializing in turbocharger upgrades, rebuild and repairs did it. I have used them several times before and they make nice units. Many of the big shops here use them for all their work. Turbos are fully spec'd, machined, balanced and assembled in house.

I never ran the turbo or installed it...its still new...fresh from the upgrade.
The Garrett compressor wheel that I put on is rated at 50lb per minute so that's where I get the 450whp marker. Thanks for looking
