Dude, this is exactly what I've been looking for. I have $1,300 right now and I'll have to look for a few ways of coming up with the extra you are looking for. If it is still available then I'll have to look you up. I'll keep monitoring this thread. If you would like to discuss details via PM then I'm up for that as well. Thanks.

In terms of looking at the boost plot, apples-to-apples, the 80mm Red spooled 1000rpm sooner than the 6262. The Red made 30psi @ 3700rpm in 4th.
Keep in mind that peak torque usually hits about 200rpm after spool, and you can add about 200rpm of spool time needed for each gear lower than 4th.

The turbo is like-new from FP. If it gives anyone extra peace of mind, the turbo was NOT blown, and was NOT abused. It was on the car for 6,000 mi, with one trip to the dyno and one trip to the dragstrip. It saw now more than 29 psi.
But all that doesn't really matter since it was completely rebuilt by FP!

So this is a rebuilt unit / used without a WGA selling for ~$200 less than if bought brand new from FP, but it does not have a warranty or a high pressure WGA ($150) ??? So basically a savings of ~$50 ?
Is the warranty transferable ?
Did you have the turbo ported ?

He's including the $150 oil line and a free tune, so you're saving $300-$400. Seems like a good deal to me

Your math is incorrect ....
Brand new turbo, wga, and oil line is $1950.
His used setup is $1650 but does not include the high pressure WGA ($129), so now you are up to $1779, which is a savings of ~$170....
The big question I have is, has the turbo been used since coming back from FP and will FP honor the warranty with the new owner / buyer ? If FP won't honor the warranty (on a used turbo), which would be understandable, then IMHO that is not really a savings.....
Bump for answers once Recompile's account is active....

I know for a fact that the Turbo has not been used since coming back from Fp he already had the 6262 installed.

And for us VIII guys, he's also adding in the installation kit which is a savings in and of itself.

think he got banned because he advertise it wrong making folks think its NEW when its not. Also where does he say he will include the evo 8 to 9 installation kit i dont see that. It says you get a red+free tune no wastegate. Now if you dont live where he does the tune is of no use and you still have to buy a waste gate. 1650+129 = 1779. so if you live near him its good as you can get it tuned. other then that buying the wastegate puts it close to brand new turbo price range. Im sure he will make some adjustments once he is active again if thats the case of a disable due to the stated above.

Hey brother. How are things going with that FP Black? To answer your question, see above. It seems like those funds we spoke of will be available for me to use on 15NOV.
