FS: OH 2004 Evo SSL TB Black & Black Leather All Stock!! Must see...
FS: 2004 Mitsubishi Evolution SSL –Black w/ black leather interior
BASICINFO:
VIN: JA3AH86D64U069634
120,483 miles
Clean Title in hand (dealer buy-back due to transmission issue around 40k miles, car has ran fine for past 80k milessince)

BACKGROUND:
Car was purchased in December 2009,and became my daily driver year round, I ran stock suspension in the winter w/dedicated snow tires, and I ran high end coilovers (Ohlin’s) and performance tires in the summer. Since owning the car I have not drag raced it. I have used it for autocross occasionally. Not a‘built’ evo in terms of engine/power, stock = reliable. In contrast to many you see listed with fresh ‘mods’ right as they try to sell it, knowing it likely isn’t running right.
On these forums please see Smike (Mike) , spool sample (Andrew), daworstplaya (Suraj) or mr. happy (Tim) all know me personally and know the car as well.
Below is a write up on each aspectof the car, pictures are below. I have notated what was done prior to my purchase of the car, and have included all I have done in as much detail as possible.
$14,750 - List price with 2 sets of wheels (Stock VIII wheels with snow tires, stock IX wheels with all seasons)
EXTERIOR CONDITION: 7/10, There is 120k miles on the car, and it shows, the car is not a show stopper, but the blemishes are minor, nicks here and there, (I can try to picture and size them all if someone is coming from far away and requires it).
MODS:
OEM intercooler blacked out
OEM front emblem removed, carbon fiber decal overlaid
Custom Urethane mud flaps (Like rally armor, but flexible, I can put on the rally armor ones instead at buyers choice)
Color-matched Rexpeed Type-C spoiler
Rear debadged (installed by previous owner)
Windows tinted (installed byprevious owner)
Headlights & taillights darkened, side markers tinted (installed by previous owner)
INTERIOR CONDITION: 9.5/10 Driver’s side bolster shows a bit of wear/cracking, aside from that I am amazed how few evos have an interior that has been this well cared for and it shows.
MODS:
Clean white LEDs in all buttons and HVAC
Kenwood eXcelon head unit (that plays CDs, MP3s, 3.5mm cable for aux input, phone, etc) & OEM head unit available
ENGINE/DRIVETRAIN CONDITION: 9/10 Unsure what would make it a 10/10, It does not burn oil, I have a finished garage floor where it is kept, and there are never any fluids that leak, always used OEM filters and fluids. I have also sent out to Blackstone Labs for a full workup on the oil, to help diagnose if there were any issues internally, I can share this report with you as well, as it shows there is no concerns with abnormal wear internally. Also you can see all service records included, within the past 15k miles, new OEM clutch, resurfaced flywheel, timing belt, water pump, etc as this was scheduled service. This spring I also replaced the left side front wheel hub (OEM replacement - preventative), slightly damaged the axle threads trying to remove it, so I replaced the front left axle as well.
SUSPENSION/BRAKES/WHEELS/TIRESCONDITION: 9.5/10 No issues with any of the sets of wheels/tires, no issues with the brakes, no service on any parts are due, I have all records as well.
MODS:
Drilled/stiffened front sway bar mod
ATE SuperBlue/Gold brake fluid – flushed fully this spring
Hawk HPS front pads, OEM rear pads
OEM VIII wheels, w/ General ArcticMax snow tires (225/45)
OEM IX Wheels w/ Kumho AST tires (235/45)
Braided stainless brake lines (installed by previous owner)
Painted black & cleared calipers, replaced seals/boots while they were off.

I'm an STI guy, but having seen this car an average of 2 times a month during the spring/summer/fall months for about 2 years now, I can also vouch for the owner's attention to this car. I would agree with his assessment on its condition and maintenance.
