1992 EVO 1 in Tampa
Very nice EVO 1 (soon to be) for sale in Tampa .
102k kilometers or about 65k miles.
two year old built block (94AWDcoupe)
was built with a 4500 budget and this is what I came up with.
9.0 JE pistons
eagle/scat rods
o-ringed block
nitrided evo 8 crank
272 cams
evo 8 hardware in head
ACT 2600 street clutch
3 inch exhaust
custom 2.5 IC pipes. evo 8 IC
Koyo radiator
street/strip 20G turbo with FP cast exhaust mani, and evo 3 02
650cc injectors (far too small)
DSM LINK evo lite
AEM wideband
unusual 18 inch wheels. sold to me as magnesium. they weigh 17lbs so i dont know. they had same manufacture sticker that Volks come with. whatever they are they are cool.
also has adjustable struts. front and rear. rides incredible.
asking price will be in the 12-14k range.
these cars cost around 8-10k to get here. then you have to figure out how to get title for one. and it will be stock with maybe boost gauge and catback.
this car is titled in florida with 12 digit JDM vin. very attractive car to own. read my posts about my blue evo 1. IMHO there is not a BETTER CAR ON THE PLANET to own and operate. they are completely different than evo 8/9. they are far lighter and take very little power to be real rush. my blue evo 1 with 380whp dead locked late model mustang with 650whp.
car should be for sale in about three weeks. so this is just a feeler. all pictures are not current . just wanted to get some interest going.

I am still getting inquiries about this car. The situation is car was side swiped. I was hoping to find a pair of white doors and bolt them on but was unsuccessful. I ended up buying light blue doors. With the rest of car having original 20 year old paint I decided to have entire car resprayed. Car is currently disassembled. Interior which is fantastic shape, is bare save the dash. New doors were completely stripped so as to repaint everywhere. Roof ribs removed to rid roof of rust for good. These cars have issue with roof rust. The support ribs glue dries and cracks with age. This allows moisture to collect on underside of roof where the rusting starts.. ALL mirages have this problem. I dont have the heart to do poor paint jobs. If you look up my evo 4 thread you will see the type of care the car is getting.
I should have offered the car "as is" for a low price when I first got it. But didnt think there would be much interest with it needing significant body work to get it looking good again.
Would still sell as is but would want 10k for it. Price will be at least 12.5 when paint is finished.
Paint will be cherry.

Tough break man, sad to hear the car was hit. People just don't pay attention they drive like they're brain dead, I have a 60 mile round trip to work into NYC and the other day I was heading in, I felt like I was in a video game with the way people drive. Anyway GLWS, i'm sure that car will look great when it's done, that car is awsome

I can vouch for this guy. He is the man to know in town if you have any DSM/EVO. Straight shooter and a great contribution to the community. Not to mention having some awesome DSM's

driving the evo 1 to paint shop. felt really weird. first felt like brakes were dragging. then it felt like tires were out of balance, BAD. then it felt like front end fell apart. pulled over to find this.
guess there is something to dry rotted tire fear.
