Fs: 2005 Ww Evo8 Rs
The EVO is up for sale. I love the car, but plans for the race car next season require a bigger racing budget.
I am the original owner, bought new in May of 2005. The car now has 71k miles. I do a lot of highway driving back and forth to work, and back and forth to the garage. The car has been dead reliable. All maintenance is up to date of course. Tbelt was done at 25k and 50k miles. Brakes were all replaced in July. Mobil 1 oil changed every 2500, transmission fluid changed every 5k. My brother has been a certified Mitsu tech for ~8 years, he handled any dealer maintenance it had done.
Car is pretty much back to stock as far as power goes, but a lot of difficult but necessary mods are already done for you. The clutch, valve springs, head studs, and ACD transfer case rebuild are the big ones. If you are planning to do these things anyway, save yourself the labor, time, and money. The car is currently running ~22 psi on a moderate tune. This is a great candidate for someone looking for a car that isn't fully modded and beat up, but with all of the hard work done. This car just needs exhaust and cams to go 11s with a good driver.
Mod list:
-Exedy HD twin disc clutch
-ShepTrans built ACD transfer case
-ARP headstuds and mitsu metal MLS head gasket
-BC valve springs, ready for whatever cam you want
-BR ceramic coated tubular O2 housing
-BR front motor mount
-EVO 9 fuel pump
-K&N filter
-Miscellaneous small weight reductions, car weighs as little as 3100 depending on what's in the car
-Dunlop Dirrezza Z1 Sport Star Specs, only 2,000 miles on them.
-Start safety switch bypass mounted on bottom of dash to enable/disable the clutch switch
-Hallman MBC
-EVO9 BOV
-Polished stock UICP to impress the ladies
-BR shifter bushings
-42 Draft Designs DIN gauge panel with SW Boost and Oil Pressure gauges.
-Polk Audio DB6500s up front, with tweeter mounted to inside mirror panels and crossovers mounted behind door panel
-Polk Audio DB650s in the rear (F+R speakers mounted on 1/8th" plates)
-Pioneer head unit.
The paint is in great shape except for the small chips on the front end typical of a car with a lot of highway mileage. There is one small dent on the right rear quarter panel (no paint damage there). The wheels have some yellowing in the corners. The car gets washed weekly, and clay bar and waxed ~4 times per year. The interior is in excellent shape.
The car comes with the stock ECU, but if the buyer wants to run DSMlink I'll include the DSMlink adapter harness in the deal with the 3bar MAP sensor, and my current DSMlink tune. I'll throw in the two low mileage stock sized Dunlop Graspic snow tires, buy two more and you're set for winter. The car absolutely rips in it's current state of tune, there is nothing wrong with it.
$17,995
I'll get more pics this week. Recent pics: http://s116.photobucket.com/albums/o...%20for%20sale/

Bump for free parts:
I'll toss in a set of HKS 280s (from this thread) for a good buyer. If your state doesn't do emissions testing I'll install them as well for no charge.

You bet. If the weather would just break for one day up here I could wash it and get some current pics. Any requests?
In the mean time, here are a few more from my site. Nothing fancy.

I owe nearly my asking price on this car, so trades are tough to pull off. For some reason the banks want cash. The last offer I entertained was for 16k plus a modded 2g I planned to sell to the GF, but that fell through. I would prefer all cash but I'll entertain other ideas to get a deal done if it's something I can work with.
