Backup Car
So i need a backup car, if for some reason i don't find the evo that i want, or financially aren't able to get it.
Something around 25k range.
What do you guys think about the 07-09 vw gti or the infiniti g35

do not buy a GTI they suck ! I had one, and I can give you the names of 2 or 3 others that had them and had nothing but problems not to mention they are turd buglers

i was just looking at 2010 mazdaspeed 3 and they fit right in your range. and it also comes with a lot of performance..

Year after year the VW GTI makes it to the top ten best cars. I don't know what are you talking about. What problems did your friend had? I am sure your friend's cars were not stock other wise they would be covered by a warranty.
I also have friends locally and on this forum that had engine failures on their Evos.. Can you elaborate more?. I actually do recommend him buying the GTI.
By the way, what is Turd Bugler?

I know countless people that have and continue to buy GTI's. The older ones are fickle but the newer ones are SUPER nice and pretty quick.

DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS GUY!!!! I am a VW fanatic and have owned them my whole life. They had a bad rep in 1983 and people who dont read or have experience with them just believe they are bad still. The new VW'S are super nice!! They are way faster then the 1.8T GTI. They get awesome gas mileage and guranteed have the best interior for your price range. You can also make them very fast for little money. Either a mk6 GTI or a 2004 vw R32. The exhaust note of that car alone is reason to buy one. Trust me, i have built countless vag cars for myself and frinds and they very rarley have problems. I have a daily 2003 1.8T with bolt ons and NOTHING hs ever happened bad other then the coilpacks which are $30 and take 5 mins to fix.

What about an sti they are cheap and decent cars and are along the same lines as an Evo, if I didn't buy a truck to dd and tow my Evo I would have bought a dd sti.
