Wink The lenghts people go to fit rims on their cars....( lol pics)

I thought I had just about seen everything until today.

Gentlemen comes into my work and asks me to mount some tires on his Corvette wheels. No problem I say. He looks at me and asks me if it's possible to get the beads to seat. I look at him puzzled and said

"Of course, why would I not be able to?"

His reply" They're kinda stretched"

At this point I was

Things got interesting when I asked him what they were going on. He replies " A VW Jetta."

I asked to see the tires and the rest was history.......

Mind you, these are 7.5 wide and 8.5 wide wheels.

They looked MUCH worse in person. Meh, to each their own.

That's a mild stretch in the VW world. I've seen 205's on 10.5's.

VW guys are idiots. For some reason they all love the stretched tire look or some crap to go along with their rusty hoods. Its quite hilarious when they break the bead after hitting the first pothole. But hey, at least they have their dish...

Hell yeah there was a disclaimer wrote on our behalf.

I used as much bead sealer as possible, but the customer is always right.

I would have pics installed on the car but on his way back to the shop he hit a construction site and wound up putting a hole in his oil pan.

He picked up the wheels in a tow truck with his car on the bed.

Nice guy and all, I just do not understand the logic of stretched tires.

People have been putting C4 wheels on their VW's for awhile now. They honestly don't look too bad. And take it from me, I'm defiantly NOT a VW fan.
