I made one recently with a streusel topping. It was better.

im a big fan of just regular pie crust on top instead of struesel...but only way to tell if yours is actually better is to taste it.

Struesel topping is too sweet. This pie had a nice tartness to it from both the lemon juice, and the granny smith apples. I don't want my pie too sweet or else I can only eat so much.

My strusel wasn't too sweet, I don't like that either. It had a nice balance. I used the lemon juice to keep the apples from turning brown, I put a little apple cider vinegar in for tartness. Your crust looks good. Nice job.

Thanks. I realized after I had everything prepared that I had no eggs left. So I wound up brushing the crust with some melted butter instead of egg wash. I worked out rather well. I was afraid it was going to burn.

Tent the crust with foil while it bakes and remove the foil 15 minutes before it is finished to prevent burning. I did that with the edges of my crust and it worked great.
