Angry Volkswagen can suck my balls

For the 4th time i have taken my car in to have a clunking/popping sounds checked out. And for the 4th time they have sent me on my way saying they can't duplicate the problem so they can't fix it.

The worst part is the last time i took it in, i duplicated the problem for the service rep, but then the mechanic couldn't get it to go. And because it's completely random i can't just "make it pop"

So instead the mechanic gave me some bullsh*t story that "the wheel bearings sometimes will move around in the housing and there isn't really anything they can do about it and it's not really a big problem"

Also I'm 99% sure my diverter valve has died. There is hesitation in accelerating and the most obvious thing is i can hear it venting while im accelerating, boost is kicking in late, and it's slower than normal.

So yesterday they called me and said they could hear the problem with the DV and would order me a new one. Then this morning i got in to "duplicate" the popping issue and the mechanic says there are no codes for the DV or boost loss, plus it feels fine to him so they aren't gonna replace it, or even pull it out to physically check it.

The only thing they are doing is replacing a brake light switch which apparently the car had a code for.

I'm pretty tired of this dealership. They keep messing me around and feeding me bullsh*t. The mechanic doesn't wanna make any effort to figure out the problems with my car. Also the service rep has no clue what he is talking about and doesn't seem to be able to communicate what is actually going on with my car.

My wife is actually more pissed than me. She keeps saying "You own a $25,000 car and you shouldn't just have to "put up" with a problem which you've had since you bought the vehicle."
So now she is calling VW corporate and i get to take my car to another VW dealership an hour away to see if they will help me. Either way my car is getting fixed and I'm getting definite answers. I don't wanna hear "your DV seems fine to me". I want the mechanic to be 100% sure there is nothing wrong and do the extra work to make sure of that.

/rant

also f*ck Volkswagen of Fort Myers :

edit: Oh yeh, and the last time i was in they overinflated my tires to 50psi. So now the front tires are completely worn down the center and I have to replace them. When i asked Tony, my service rep. He just said "they have gauges to check the PSI, they wouldn't do that".

lol, welcome to VW. I got rid of my GTI after only about a year of purchasing it. You know you shouldn't be owning one when you have over 12 grand in replacement parts put on it.

Vw calls that an overrun cut-off valve. I assume it's got the 2.0l?

I can't believe the tech didn't find anything in the GFF/guided functions. Heck, it's only .4 tu to replace on an A4 2.0

The only major problems I've had with the car since i got it was a leaking transmission which in turn killed my throw out bearing. The dealership where actually cool about that and fixed it up in a day.

Since then I've just had this clunking issue. And the blown Diverter Valve is because my car has a Stage 1 flash. However the dealership don't know that because i switched the car back to stock mode when i took it in.

My problem isn't with the car, it's with the dealership. I knew the GTI wasn't the most reliable car before i bought it. However that's what a warranty is for. The problem is my local dealership is filled with idiots

yeh i got the 2.0T FSI engine. and the blown DV is a VERY common problem, which is what pisses me off even more because the mechanic has to know it's a very likely possibility for the DV to be torn. I mean even stock cars have had this issue

What they are doing is making you drive back and forth and feed you BS until you hit the mileage limit on your warranty. When that happens that will be able to find ALL the problems....AND more.
