ARC.....Why Not. They may be overpriced but to some people money is not the issue.

It's been established. Everyone will do as they please and have their personal preferences. Now back to the real topic which is: Why would someone buy anything made by ARC?

My two cents: Because ARC has made itself a sort of JDM baller status brand. There's others out there. Do Luck is one of them I think. Except for Do Luck isn't even advertising performance. What's sad to me is that ARC actually tries to convince you that they're going to make your car fast with their $4,000 exhaust, or their NINE HUNDRED DOLLAR upper intercooler pipe. Come on--if money was completely worthless to me I'd buy into it.

honestly, ARC makes quality parts (plus they look good on top of it) and thats why many people buy them. others buy them just because they are popular and we know how people like to jump on bandwagons. But that applies to anything.

I myself at one point felt guilty for buying a carbon fiber Varis shift knob for $105.
But they are uncommon here in the states, and that exclusivity makes it all worth it to me. Call me stupid, but Varis is a JDM company that makes expensive quality parts and they look good on top of it. so i bought it. same story here with ARC, basically.

:RAISES HAND: I have an ARC Titan on my car.

Just so you know the prices you quoted are about 50% - 70% more expensive than it was a year ago. Example I paid 90 for my oil cap. 150 for my radiator panel. 200 for my spark plug cover etc. Yah it's expensive. Yah it serves no function. But I have no kids and no wife so I buy what I want.

OKOK lemme see another exhaust that has more beautiful Ti welds than this. It's artwork. Care to disagree? Oh and I bought this used and didn't pay THAT much for this.

Some people pay millions of dollars for a bunch of oil paintings even though all the materials together are worth 50 bucks. Or they could buy an imitation that looks the same for 50 bucks.

ARC overpriced for what it is? Sure.
Why? Because just like anything else some people will want some of the things they own to be "exclusive" and price is a great way to do that.

Look at Ferrari I'm sure they could build a cheaper mass produced car that you don't have to sell appendages to service but, why would they? That's not what they're about. They don't want everyone to have one.

Where do you draw the line? Should everyone say screw AMS, Buschur, HKS and buy all their parts from Ebay manufacturers?

We can't really see the welds from the Hubble.

They are in business because there are enough people who think the parts are worth the money. Are they expensive, yes. Overprices, yes. However, what looks overpriced to you, us, etc may not be overpriced to the buyer. Titanium isn't cheap either. The exhaust may be a bit extreme, but a good bit of their parts you could justify. For the record I own no ARC parts

Yah that's another thing. I like to have parts that I don't see on every other car. I had a Greddy Ti before and that was the best performance exhaust for the evo as I see it. Light as a feather and performed well. It was too loud for my taste and the ARC exhaust weighs at least double that, but I wanted a quieter full Ti exhaust.

BLING BLAOW!

And everytime I want a laugh. I read the JDM Engrish on all my ARC parts and wonder why for this much money can they either not hire a translator, or **** just leave the nonsensical words off the labels. HAHH
