I recommend Dawson, Trijicon, Meprolight or Truglo.

yeah i was looking at stuff on the springer site. i just wish i could check them out in person before making a decision. id like to keep modification to the pistol as minimal as possible, and by this i mean drilling the slide or frame. i wouldnt mind using stock part replacements though.
maybe ill have to buy another pistol to modify
i still think my next firearm purchase is going to be an AR15 or variant of the AR15.
edit: here is a slick looking customized XD

I swear by Warren sights for my "combat weapon". Ever since I went through Scott Warren's course, I have never gone back.
The XDm is more a .40 target pistol for me, so I use the Dawson adjustables for 2 to 3" groupings at 50'.

I almost let a round go in my head when I saw the prices of some stupid tiny little plastic parts. (Well, almost all plastic..) For that price, I would rather make sure the little red dot is where I want it to go...
And Tox, yeah, you do need to shoot more. I let of another 150 last night.
And funny, at the range, they had a target with a dude holding a chick hostage. After I was done, The chick's face looks like swiss cheeze, and not a single shot through the dude. Tee hee...

i shot 70 rounds through my XD at the range on saturday when i went with my dad. we put about 30 rounds through his 44 mag, about 25 through our .22-250 varmint rifle, and he shot about 25 rounds through one of his deer rifles(7mm-08 i think)

Yeah, I find it hard to shoot less than 100 rounds every time I go. Most of the time I need about 150 to feel "satisfied" and make sure the paper dude really is dead.

Thats a nice looking piece. They have one like that over at our range, all blacked out with a plated gold trigger, hammer, sights and a few other accented areas. Something about is looks soo friggen bad arse, all blacked out with gold accents.
Nothing like shooting things in style.
