trying to figure out why trillian isn't playing nicely with IRC. Once I get that going, I should be able to auto-login when I open up my IM stuff.

a lot of the time with trillian I had to open the status window and then join the channel

Thing is, the option to do anything IRC in trillian is completely missing, my version is up to date and everything, I even tried reinstalling it.

you have to go in to the preferences and enable the IRC plugin
