I would say the same thing because even though some of us speed there is a time and place for it. If they were in the proper time and place then how did they loose control?

A few years ago, me and my friend were just driving down a local blvd going slow minding our business. Just to give you a scenario, I had a lightly modified 240sx and he and a heavily modded eclipse. At the light, unprovoked, a black civic comes revving at us. After the light turned green, he full throttles it and hits a lightpost head on. He came crawling out the car and was clutching his chest while stumbling to the sidewalk. My friend actually called the cops and we waited until they arrived to make sure the civic driver was ok. The cops were telling us how that driver got what he deserved and since he was still alive maybe he will think twice about his actions in the future. At the time I felt like the cop was being too hard on the injured driver. Over the years, seeing more and more bad stuff happen, I can finally say I agree with that cop. Some people won't stop until they get a lesson from the school of hard knocks.

Okay cherry blossom its sort of like parents who smoked weed in the 60s telling their kids not to do drugs. Yeah they did it, it was wrong (according to the law) and they should tell their kids not to do it and they shouldn't.
Reality is people don't learn very well from second hand experience. Some of you idiots have to mash your rides in to trees, telephone poles, embankments, fences, houses, people, cars, etc in order to learn. Hopefully, nobody gets hurt while you learn.
In the mean time I drive real defensive like and enjoy watching young and old do stupid things on the streets. Teen agers don't have a monopoly on idiocy. I see plenty of middle aged people being stupid in minivans and SUVs.
In the mean time cherry blossom keep in mind that this is just an internet forum and to not get to upset at people saying your friends are stupid for almost getting themselves killed in their car. Would you feel better if they said they were genius for narrowly escaping w/ their lives?

R u seriously speaking retard? Ya i crashed my car.....but the damage wasnt that great...I didnt want a brand new fixed up car so someone i knew wanted it regardless of the condition..I sold it and made some xtra $$$ on the side and as far as those kids that crashed on the highway....IF ANY ONE OF YOU SEE THE CAR IN ANY PICS U WOULD UNDERSTAND WHY this is upsetting....all that was left was a chard frame..thats it the only way i recognized it was an evo was from the taillight....thats it... nothing else gave it away...and as far as insurance rates goes for u morons that dont live in this state...The Evo is a very expensive car to insurance bcuz of high theft, and its been shown to crash more than alot of other fast cars on the road....and theres nearly not as many evos as there are civics on the street so u cant compare.....and if it were my kids or friends i would personaly beat the sh*t outta them just for crashing and acting soo reckless....Its a very fun car to drive....its only one hell of a dangerous car..ofcourse many of you know that....

As I went thru the chainlink fence it managed to go over the entire car as i passed thru and pretty much scratched the entire car......So my car now needs a new left rear quarter panel....left rear inner structural support apron, left rear tailllight, Rear bumper, drivers side door, left side side skirt, left side rocker panel, left rear wheel....and maybe the front one too...both front headlamp assemlies....front bumper....intercooler...and lower front air dam....new rear spoiler just the carbon fiber piece....Even tho it drives straight and true its gonna require an alignment n stuff...the windshield is scuffed from the fence thankfully it was a plastic coated fence....the antenna i believe needs to be replaced but need to take a closer look....prolly needs a new left front fender liner and the front lower splash shield that goes directly under the front bumper....I almost started crying even tho im 21 but it still hurts me really bad cuz the car is only 2 weeks old and has only 730 miles on it.....O well i guess thats the price u pay for being a jackass...But im gonna talk to the body shop 2morrow cuz i know the owner and does superb work and tell him i want EVERY SINGLE damaged piece replaced.....im guessing the damage is somewhere near $15,000..... I know thats pretty high but it jus sucks going thru all this hassle n ****.....i feel as if the car will never be the same even tho it will be proffesionally repaired and made better than factory standards hopefully.....i dno i'll see wats gonna happen but for now im gonna sleep it over and kick myself all the way to work 2morrow....peace

If it is then i'll start off fresh and go buy another one lol...

$25,000 in damages is sure a lot to me... Maybe you need to start by watching your driving habits rather than come on the forum and diss other peoples.

So you crashed your two week old Evo after 730 miles down an embankment and through a fence, but you're not a jackass because you made some money on the side and we can still recognize your car as an Evo?
