So when you sell it and someone pulls a CARFAX..
Be prepared..
Same with a dealer that spots the paintwork if you go to trade it in and then pulls a CARFAX..(you filed a Police report right? and with the claim, that information will most surely be shown)...
Just for ****s although it may be too early to show up..Pull one now..
CARFAX
On a performance car, that is the FIRST thing a dealer or prospective buyer looks for... visible repaired body damage.
I'm not trying to make you feel bad here because your car was cracked up and that won't change..I feel for you and am sure it will be fixed up like new..No worries.
But you need to be prepared for these things that you may be faced with when you go to sell..
Because you said your not going to keep it long..
Good luck!

oh I know about the Carfax thing. I really don't think paintwork will be evident, but there was no police report filed...

Then one day... I GOT HIT BY A BUS!!!
Well, I got hit by a Local Transit bus this evening (the huge ass ones) while driving the evo around 6:00pm (snowing). The good thing is i have no injuries bad thing is i cant say as much for the car. I was approaching a uphill curve at about 20 mph started into it and about half way through the back end of the car decided to step out. I was like ok ****... then i see the bus coming down the hill from the other direction and i thought Oh **** i cant get out of the way. He couldnt stop in time and hit my rear door area. Pics to follow.

wow man, sorry to see what happened to the car, but glad to see no one was hurt. In all honesty, you probably got off lucky on the car, the bus could've done a hell of a lot more damage than it did! good luck and keep us updated

Yea bro join the club of being hit by a bus lol. I was side swiped by a school bus! (His fault). He hit me in my rear quarter panel which had to be totally cut off and replaced on my car. Can't tell I was ever in an accident, but I was without a car for 3 weeks . Damn bus drivers! But now that the winter has hit NYC I have my winter wheels and tires on, do you have winter tires on for your evo? Sorry to hear about your accident, hope your OK, I'm still going to physical therapy for this accident I had in July '03. Good Luck with your car!

Never go with all-seasons. You're just just making compromises in all situations. Good luck getting that fixed. How will insurance handle this? Is it your liability?
