Grew up racing motorcycles, shooting, skateboarding, mountain biking and playing paintball - we had a motorcross track, shooting range, and paintball field on the property. Also played volleyball in high school and college, and went through a big rock climbing phase. Snowboarded and wakeboarded semi-pro during college, and raced some downhill bikes. Now days I still ride downhill bikes alot, snowboard/ski, wakeboard, shoot skeet, and play paintball (although all the fields seem to have closed).
First car was a Jeep Wrangler that was always broken. I built it into a beast and used to do a lot of wheelin, took it to Moab etc. Got sick of the milage and it always breaking and got a Subaru 2.5RS - this was pre-WRX. The Suby got me into rally cars. My best friend built and raced a Mazda GTX rally car, and I had a VW Golf rally car. Did that for a few years, until it was too expensive. Put a turbo kit on the 2.5 RS and was always scared it was going to blow up - so I saved my pennies, sold the Suby and got an EVO in 2003 - haven't looked back.
