Just FYI, I talked to the track manager on Saturday of ORP. There is no 'Group 1' drivers allowed. You must have graduated a driving school, and references will be checked before allowed on the track. There is no straight away passing (or straight aways for that matter). Track days are ran with open passing on the corners, but drivers must use common sense or they'll be sent home.

Did you talk to ORP or Bill of Star? Star runs a passing everywhere with point by.
But I will bet my wife (easy bet, being wrong here would be a win/win) the Porsche club event in April will be pass on the none curvy bits only.

Are you "doing" the Star deal 3/29?

eighth mile drags at monroe evergreen speedway, first one is March 29. Not actually a full eighth, but it is heads up during practice if you are local and just want to race. They have weird brackets but if you are consistent you can win. Lots of fun. I will post later on other races, but you can check their website and look at street drags.

I'm looking to do the Alfa Club in April at PR.

Just need to convince my wife I can do that and not spend every weekend from now until then getting my car ready. And I need to be able to actually NOT spend every weekend in the garage getting ready.

^^^ Sweet. ORP looks killer, and I've always wanted to hit Reno as well.

Well worth it if you can do it. actually its June13-14th 2 day event for $400 for both days with
http://home.onemain.com/~bonster/ Good group, good price. Fernley area is pretty cool too.

Did it last year, awesome track, elevation change is priceless.
Doug from UP Garage will more than likely be going. he'll be leaving from Tacoma if you want to go its always nice to travel with someone. that is if you drive it, we usually drive our cars down. trailering can be $$$$$.

the uphill twisty is so much fun

I actually went to the reno track with a scca rally car when it was still gravel! It was rocky but fun. It has some nice elevation change rolling through those hills. I'm going to try and not travel outside of WA and OR this year, while I'm shaking the car down.

I talked to the track manager. I'm not up on what the 'star deal' is?

I didn't see that Saturday Porsche day at Pacific on the 30th. Lame, they must have added that later - or I'm blind/stupid. Would have like to have done it.

I need to go for some tuning and test driving and see if all my issues are sorted. If things look good I'll probably sign up for the PCA day June 10th and then the Evening Alfa day June 17th.
