HillCountry Rnd. Trip Cruise Sat.3/3/12
Anyone interested in joining a couple of Evos and Subies from DFW
heading down to meet up w/this cruise?
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2296030
I am driving my favorite FarmRoad route which might be as much fun as the HillCountry route,
(actually their route looks like a great 'near Austin' drive, but a 30+ car follow-the-leader might be an experience,
especially if we can get a hefty NTEC showing
updated-
DFW meet up and cruise down
7:30 Kroger/Starbucks in Mansfield (actually we park in front of the Panda Express)Kroger E85 station - Mansfield, TX (click for Goggle Map)
12ish arrive for lunch/join the Subie Cruise group
the initial route is identical, Venus, Maypearl and then south toward the Hill Country
one fuel stop, so bring on the Starbucks and have a full tank
Marlin: Shell, Exxon, Chevron (ought to satisfy the group)
updated Sat. 2/11
Great questions.
Its a one day round-trip event combining two cruises:
I personally am considering staying overnight on Sat. just to avoid returning on i-35!
Well, really, it sounds like there's something developing Sat night following the cruise. . .
so i hope everyone feels free to do what suits themselves. . .
I think the group's gonna be large enough that some may go early, some stay overnight, and like planned, make the one day round trip
looks like we need to leave about 7:30am

4. Supraboy1
5. Supraboy1 Junior (subie)
6. BambiTLK
7. Bullett
8. Built2Fast
9. RageX
10. Litcandl3
11. RalliAaron
12. RalliAaron's subie friend?
Hope everyone realizes that this is one hell-of-a-long-day...7-11pm??
200miles down
200mile cruise
200mile back on I-35
but it may be the most fun you've had in your Evo to date!!!

I haven't done the math to figure out our departure time
looks EARLY so bring on the Starbucks and have a full tank

This looks like fun. I may try to make it. I have finals the week before, so this would be a nice release after they are done.
Kelly, I'm still kind of confused about the details. Are you going to drive down there early Saturday morning to cruise out? Or head out Friday night and then meet in Austin Saturday?

I'm curious about this too. Is the goal to do our own cruise that ends up where theirs does, or to be down there in time to join their cruise? If it's the latter, will we be taking back roads down, like a regular cruise (in effect making ours a double cruise once we meet up with them); or would we take a straight shot down to their staging area?

Night shift
Ahh. That clears it up. Any idea on the estimated departure time? I may be up for this one. (Well, I know I'm up for it, I just have to see if I can switch shifts that week.)

I'd love to coordinate another 3day to the greater HillCountry area, but thats a much longer trip.
