we pull RPM of the tach signal and TPS off the stock ecu .
water temp we have replaced the stock instrument cluster sensor with a zeitronix 1/8th in npt water temp sensor and another for oil temp, we use zeitronix 150psi pressure sensor for fuel pressure and oil pressure. we have the analog output from the zeitronix wideband going to the dash, and we have pressure and temp sensors pre turbo, post turbo, and post intercooler. we are going to be measuring turbo efficiency and intercooler efficiency. among other things

Took the My Shop Assist Evo down to TX2K14 in College Station and Houston this past week. This was the first time I had attended TX2K and had a blast! I was too exhausted from manning the booth and talking to shops to catch any of the street racing, though It started raining Saturday morning and I decided to pack up and head back to Dallas a day early. They ended up cancelling all the drag racing on Saturday and Sunday so I'm glad left early. Sucks for the event because this was the first time they have ever had to cancel the drag racing (which is why most people go to TX2K).
Oh well, there is always next year!
Out at Texas World Speedway for the roll race event. Didn't even get the car off the trailer. Just parked it by the entrance.
And here she is set up for the dyno day at Hennessey Performance. Got a great spot next to Forged performance and 1320 Videos.
Now that the car is back in the shop, it is time to start preparing for the USCA event at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend. Here is the list of to-do items:

Had a great first day out at Texas Motor Speedway and cruising through DFW to collect cards for the poker run/Road Rally.
They even let us out on the oval for a few laps! This was super cool and a great experience to feel just how steep the banked turns are. And Violet enjoyed it, too!
Here was the stop at Pole Position Raceway for some indoor karting action.
And then all finished up at the host hotel for some food and drinks.
Now the Evo is back at the shop fixing a little issue that reared it's little head today. Been having some overheating problems and thought it was just a coolant leak. Turns out to be a blown head gasket. The coolant looks like delicious almond milk. Yummy!
Totally my fault and I should have caught it earlier. Just kept trying to fix the leak in the radiator instead of concentrating on the head.

Not a stupid question at all! At this moment, I do not have a fuel gauge. It isn't much of an issue because I don't daily drive the car. Just fill it up at the pump and then put 5 gallons in after every session.
But, we do have an idea on how to use the fuel lever gauge as another input on the dash. Just need to do it.

Had some time to sleep and now getting around to posting up results from this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway.
Sadly, I don't have great news. I got 2nd (out of 2 ) in the AWD class and lost to a GTR. Long story short, the judges scored his car higher in the design challenge which broke the tie between us. I was 100% confident that all of the custom details (paint, body work, powder coating, intercooler, pipes and intake, wheels, radiator, flocked dash, digital gauge cluster, splitter, wire tuck, AN fittings) would have given me the advantage, but I was wrong.
This means that I did not get an invite to the finals in Las Vegas after SEMA. Pretty bummed about that but I was already planning on attending at least 1 more event. Now it looks like I'll be attending several! Not going to let this loss deter me from the events. I just need to step my game up and improve the car even more to show that GTR who is boss (just like I did in the 2013 finals. )
Now, here are some pics from the weekend. I was so preoccupied with talking to fellow competitors that I didn't take many pictures myself. A I completely forgot to get all of our go-pro's charged up and mounted, so no videos.
Putting all of the stickers on.
Hanging out at the start/finish line at the TMS oval.
Here is a pic from the AutoX. This track was HUGE! Lap times were in the mid-low 40's for the leading pack. I ended up with a 42.758
Now onto my favorite event, the Speed/Stop Challenge. The course this year was very short. It was about 2/3 the size of the normal track and times were just over 11 seconds for the leading group. I ended up with a 11.223.
The road course out at Texas Motor Speedway is small and flat. There isn't any real elevation change and only 1 off-camber turn towards the end. Not super technical but I did see speeds around 120 at the end of the straight. Here is Terry Fair in the Vorshlag Mustang letting me pass. I ended up with a 40.268 and Terry was the only competitor to go sub-40 with a 39.803!
And here is my favorite pic that I actually took this past weekend.
Big thanks to Optima for hosting this event! Honestly, I enjoy them more than the NASA races. I get crazy amounts of seat time, race against some heavy hitters in the industry, get to race at tracks all over the country, and get on TV!

Check out this thread for the details about the paint job. Gives detailed pics and descriptions about all the stuff we did to prep the car. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/mo...-dynamics.html

Here are some really great pictures taken by my friend Brandon LaJoie.
My trusty sidekick, Violet.
The prototype intercooler I make looks really nice in this pic.
This one is my favorite.
Few action shots.
All lined up for the awards.
And here is a sneak peak of what we are currently working on...315's baby!
