OTC info

http://www.opentrackchallenge.com/2004entries.htm

1. Hayashi's team won T3 last year in an S2000. He's so scared of EVOs
lurking around, he isn't going to enter his S2000 in T3 or U3, as he doesn't
think he can beat an EVO.

2. EVOs could clean up and go 1-2-3 on the podium in T3 and U3

3. They can borrow some of the tools, etc out of the Pulp Racing trailer.
I can't carry around their tires, as we won't have enough room.

4. The Pulp guys can help with tips (Me, you, Erik, Rick) on the various
tracks.

=====
AZMP got shut down due to noise problems, so we are looking for a different
5th track.

any hints as what the 5th track is gonna be?

Any chance we go to Vegas and run the big track? It'd be nice to end the week in Vegas so everyone can party. I know a lot of the guys are big ballers at the casinos! Another incentive.

5th track... you mean to replace AMP since that they just got shut down? Sure I don't know the whole story, but it smells a bit fishy to me.

I wasn't too excited about AMP anyway, so I consider it good news. Coming from Seattle, the drive back home from AMP would be brutal. Plus ending the event in Vegas was one of the highlights of last year.... I think we spent more in Vegas than the rest of the week combined.... LOL.. and I don't gamble.

We now start in Vegas a day earlier at the new Derek Daly 2.4m track and now end Thursday at Buttonwillow. This drops the highway time significantly (especially that remote hop to AMP that is no longer) and gets everyone situated for a much shorter ride home after the event. Not to mention the "there's no casinos!!!" horrah has now been resolved!

If there's anything Wayne and Derek haven't covered, I'd be happy to help. brian@opentrackchallenge.com

There's a really fast STi team entered in Touring (and maybe one of the more popular WRX's racers in the GP), so the EVO community has its work cut out for it. Good luck and see y'all soon.

Good work BP. Schedule looks better. Too bad California Speedway had to be ditched. I was looking forward to driving on half the oval. I guess it's just not meant to be. 2 years in a row I get no oval.

I suck at driving... and my co-driver is no hot shoe either. You Pulp Racing guys got any ideas to help the EVO field? Particularly my team?

BP - Hoping to get the registration finalized with you next week. My money bags co-driver decided to take a little trip to Mexico to get away from the rain for two weeks....

BP - Any chance of getting a "practice day" at Derek Daily before the official start of the event like last year at Parhump? I know we would really like to get the most out of the trip. I'm sure those of us who can afford to leave for an extra day wouldn't mind getting some final bugs worked out of the car or the drivers before the start.

I'll call Derek Daly and see if it's rented out or if they have classes going on.

California Speedway has lots of awe factor because the facility is so nice, but the track isn't all that epic. For $25K/day midweek rental, it became less and less sensible with so many people wanting a better "driver's track" like BW back in the fold.

Glad to have you back, Derek. Hopefully some of the Supra guys will try to carry the torch.

I think there is 1 or 2 Supra teams that are on the fence about going. With the current Tone whole 2 entry, I think that is good reason for them to enter! With what T3 looks like this year, I'm thinking I shoulda kept the Supra
