Question Service required TC-SST related warning -

I have a RA with 1500 miles, the tranny was changed under warranty and the warning message still there. If anyone had similar situation, please let me know. The service center scan that car yesterday and once I got home, the warning appeared again?? They offer to switch the tranny again, but that did not work in the first place.

Tx.

What happened to your SST that required a replacement?

Exclamation

According to service, the code is showing had to do with the tranny computer. Since tranny and computer are one piece, they replace the whole thing.

I heard that at 175 degrees the tranny computer should warning. Here in Puerto Rico today's outside temperature is 89 with a "real feel" of 99 degrees. Could temperature be activating the SST warning?? The warning usually appears when I stop/idle the car.

Does the original tranny cooler includes a fan?

Any input is good, thanks all for your help.

hey Jose, boricua!

hehe. yeah its funny but my SST transmission failed on a hot day, going uphill, it was around 100F outside and all the clutches started slipping in all gears. 5600 miles on the car.

Jose, please post your SST transmission failure data on the SST FAILURE THREAD, so we can document it all.

yes, its possible that the hot weather is causing the SST error messages. Also, it could be that RA SST (they are a different model # than MR transmissions) are lemons.

Hmmmm. "warning message still there" sounds like a radical mis-diagnosis.
