It's amazing when you first look at it. After a while of really, really getting into it, you start to see it's flaws... hmm... doesn't that sound familiar?
1) AI sucks ass. They're complete morons.
2) Lighting is horribly flawed. They over did it just to get the "wow" factor, but when you race and can't see the track because it's blinded out from the sun, or so dark from being in the shade, it's black? That's wrong.
3) "Fantasy" tracks. Who designed these things? 12 year olds? I mean, if you're going to make a track for a "simulation" game, don't make it like a NFS track.
4) Inconsistency. Cars change physics from half lap to half lap. I can break at the same place, different lap and gain different stopping abilities.
5) Multiplayer. Enough said. If you don't know, read the Forza forums. Currently a petition running to Turn 10 to get them to change it.
6) Tracks copied from Forza 2. Almost every real world track has changed... the ones in the game however, have not. Take RA for example. The T13 bridge is still there.
...That's just a start.
Sure, there's good things about it, sure it's pretty... but I am starting to think Forza 2 was a more well put together game. Seems Forza 3 was rushed... and not cleaned up the way 2 was.

In need of a reliable EVO VIII Mechanic
I'm in need of a reliable mechanic who can check out and perhaps fix the problem with my EVO VIII. It doesn't seem like a serious problem, but I'm not that mechanically inclined. Here's the deal :
I had a brand new clutch, fly wheel and bearing installed 2 days ago from a Mitsubishi dealership so I know that's not the problem, but I than installed a Turbosmart Dual Port BOV on my own (which took like 10 minutes).
The problem is that now the "check engine" light came on and won't go off and I can't seem to get any rpm's above 3,000 in lower gears and when I finally get to 4th it kind of "lugs" and "jerks" around when I accelerate.
I don't know why a BOV would do this hours after I just had a dealership fix everything else. It drove fine until the BOV went in.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I think it has something to do with tire wear. After a lap, the tires are warmed up and should drive better. Another lap, it can be worn down. I think the tire wear part is a little flawed because it wears down pretty fast.

Is it a DV or an actual BOV?

dgk, chances are you are VTA (vent to atmosphere)?!? if so your problem is with that blow off valve. The ECU is really tweeked out because it has acounted for air, and then.....Its not there. rattle rattle thunder clatter boom boom boom, dont worry put the factory DV back in and you will be fine, no one really likes the phew phew sound unless your in a neon or Nez....LOL just kidding nez. also make sure you dont have a boost leak anywhere, because your whole 3000 rpm thing is wierd too. boost leak will cause some pretty major shutters in the car.

Thanks. I figured out what was wrong with the BOV. I'm running the Turbosmart Dual Port so I just had to adjust the spring to a point where it worked with what I am running. I can't really get rid of the loud ass *swoosh/godzilla foot stomp* sound no matter what I set the spring at, but it doesn't bother me that much so ah well (at least it doesn't do the high pitch bird flutter like it was when I first got it working)
Oh and I have the 2step HKS clutch & flywheel just newly installed and was wondering if there is a "break in" period for the new clutch? Some people tell me that I shouldn't give it full pedal to floor for like a week of new driving. I love how responsive the new clutch is now, but I've still stalled out a few times trying to get used to how extremely touchy it feels now (not a bad thing at all, but just so used to ****ty OEM clutch)

check the manufacturer suggested time but usuallly 500-700 miles with no real boost is what I've read/done.

They said 400-500 miles of driving around first before you should get on it with a new clutch.

So if anyone wants to tint their windows, dont EVER EVER EVER go to SunBusters on the north side. I've never dealt with so much BS in my life...
