i really didn't want to paint it because i want the option of taking it off if i ever decide
to go back to stock or whatever.

i did what you said and took the whole piece off the car, stuck the CF piece on, and i really didn't like the way the edges looked, it looked really rough
so i went to autozone and i bought this door trim stuff (http://www.autobarn.net/edge-trim.html) and put it all around the edge of the panel, and then installed it again, it looks 10x better than before, it actually looks like its meant to be that way, it was a bit of a tighter fit to put back in but with a bit of force all the pieces popped into place

i'll send you a photo when i take some, it was getting dark when i finally got around to putting the edging on

hey man, i got that CF license plate cover, its saying i have to paint it black and all this junk which seems completely unnecessary, did you paint yours before you put it on?
