To the most recent post, you probably already figured this out but best practice is to remove it after shutting off the key. In reality you can remove it any time its not writing to the ecu, though there will be occasions (reading a rom) the ecu would be in boot loader mode, where you would ultimately have to keyoff anyway.

hello jack , is there a certain sequence to disconnect ecuflash from the car after a flash has been done ? car off and then disconnect?

i have both cables openport 1.3 and 2.0. I am trying to log my ecu by ecuflash but the select vehicle type window is empty. I paste the contents from read templates folder to the rom directory but nothing. Can you help me.
