The dealer really should have a procedure book with them on how to reprogram the a key to the car which is all it really takes. If they can't do that I highly question their ability to help you.

noticed from your replies that you are knowledgeable with ECUs and tuning. hate to bother you but i need specific help. you replied to my post twice (thanks) but my situation is the following:
    - my stock ecu is burnt
    - dealer stated that they can only replace with new ecu
    - they claim that they cant reprogram a used ecu
    - new ecu is $1200 i cant afford it, i can get a used one for $200
the car is an 06 evo se, i want to know if there is a way the dealer can marry the new (used) ecu to the immobilizer. ive read a post where someone said they can do it using their MUT2 tool if so do you know how the procedure goes. please help im trying mot to do the whole reflash thing
    please help if you can
    Thanks
    Rob

Mostly driving around the placerville area since that's where I work. I usually don't get around to meets since they end up on Fri. nights where I already have plans .
