Hey Clyde, been a long time! How are you these days? When are you coming to the US/CA again? I moved to Truckee and bought a nice house here. If you ever want to come to Tahoe come visit. I don't have your number anymore. Mines 415-637-5592.

I tend to agree with post #9 in that thread. I think some of the other guys posting on there don't knowvwhat they are talking about.

Most of my experience is with the FP IX WGA. I only messed with one X actuator myself. We got it to work but had to remove the backup nut and tighten the turnbuckle down all the way. It worked OK but I wanted to try cutting the 1/4" off the actuator rod tip. But, the car owner didnt want to.

His tuner wanted to cut more off the actuator rod as well when they put it on the Dyno for a retune. Tell me how much boost you plan to be running..

I did some research on the FP Actuator and according to what I've read, they don't hold power well. You can check out this link and tell me what you think, I might be wrong.

    Hi Sparky.

I was wondering if I could ask your opinion on Turbo choice.
I currently have a JDM VI TME with TOMEI 260 cams (in 2 deg advanced) running 1.5 bar boost and a 3" exhaust making 340 hp @6485rpm, and 312 lbft @ 4096 rpm at the wheels. The car has the original 15G turbo.
My question is, the Turbo after 90k klms is getting tired, and I am looking to replace it and want to stay Factory turbo. I am not after more top end so much as more torque and at least as fast spool as the 15G. I am not game to use the Evo IX RS Turbo.
I see you have experience with the EvoVIII RS Turbos and it now has my interest, how would this perform compared to my 15G in your opinion?

Any input would be very appreciated.

    Kind regards,
    Anthony

At Fontana we had a bone stock engine with BC 272 cams and a MA Performance SST... This year we have a 2.4 with a MA Performance EF4, once we get past a few teething issues, we should be very fast!

Hey spark, everything is going great out here on the East Coast. I have E85 3 min from my house and a station right between where I live and my parents so I can make it to there house and back to mine without having to put gas cans in my car... lol Hope all is well with you in the mid americas

    Sparky,

Never had the 280's. Have only had the GSC S1's installed. Will be going to Kelford 272's probably at some point.
