Earlier this week, a new friend was kind enough to take me for a ride in his modded ’06 Evo IX MR during work break. This was my first time being in an IX, and despite having watched my fair share of comparison videos and reviews between the 2 Evos, I was certainly not prepared enough for how thrilling and raw the IX really was XD

Its loud exhaust and ever-anticipating BOV ‘whoosh’ sounds aside, the biggest thing that kept a huge grin on my face was how hard the IX pulls from a stop...

After an 'impressive' 25k miles on the stock Advans, I had to get new tires because two of them were in exceptionally bad shape.

Went to a nearby America's Tire (aka Discount Tire) and was disappointed to find out that my first choice, Yoko Advan AD08, was back-ordered and would require at least 4 weeks to arrive. So I went with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus instead - and they did not disappoint! I am simply astounded by how quiet they are! Can hear the engine so much more clearly...

Caught up with a new friend early on Saturday to have coffee and breakfast in downtown Los Gatos. Just as how Evo owners are crazy about their cars, BMW people are just as passionate with theirs. He owns a 1997 BMW 528i, and gets so very excited and happy talking about it – reminds me of how I am with Nox when I find someone who’s open and curious about cars.

We were lucky to find a table near the window (the place was so crowded because of the good coffee), I am tickled pink to catch...

Woke up early today to give Nox a good wash (dang pollen, go away!) and did a very quick driveway photoshoot before work - an EvoXforums member requested pics of the Rexpeed VG on the car from as many angles as possible in a VG comparison thread.

Received my Rexpeed CF VG for the Evo this wednesday while at work - it's from the 2nd batch that Rexpeed has released on the market, and it is absolutely beautiful. The fins are very nice and large, and the roof fitment is great with just a little bit excess space around the antenna base, which is fine because it isn't visible unless you're a giant standing over the car.
