Air Temp Sensor

Is it possible to use a smaller air temp sensor with the MAFTpro? If not, what is the most ideal way to mount it so it is not causing an obstruction to the airflow? On a car with 2 inch stock piping the GM sensor just seems huge to put in there, especially if you thread it all the way in. Any feedback is greatly appriciated. Thanks in advance.

you only need to have the tip of the sensor in the IC pipe. Its very small so it will not cause much of a obstruction. I drilled a hole on my IC pipe and threaded it. I then slowly screwed the AIT sensor in and added some loctite to it.

I am actually welding a bung but if there were a smaller sensor to use I wouldnt have to, the GM is like 4 times the size of the one HKS uses on the vpc.

I researched getting some made, I gave up when I found out how much they were going to cost.......

If you locate an OEM sensor that looks like it will work we can see if it can be added as an option in the pro.
