so you're telling me if you got the chance to drive a 458 (assuming you're like most people and this is prolly a once in a lifetime chance for you) in the middle of Rome, you'd take it easy and drive like James May?

get off your high horse... I'd be doing the same exact thing if i was in his shoes, but then again I actually do drive a mustang... haha but I wasn't any different when I owned a civic or a 350z or a lexus or an evo....

As you can see from other videos of the same kind the drive in maranello is actually forgiving. They will actually ask you to push it. But this one is in rome and he should have ask for a different route than a drive in a crowded street.

Having been in Rome, there aren't any less crowded streets in that area... They'd have to drive pretty far out of the way to get anywhere less crowded. Highways near city centers aren't much different, there's always people swerving all over the place

Edit: just saw your driving from France to Italy thread... You should know how people drive there ...

American drivers are faster. . I also noticed that passing is only on the left lane on the highways and they are disciplined about it.

overall, yes

but during rush hour near the city center... people were all over the place. I mean they were still observing passing on the left slow on the right, but there were people going left and right all the time. but i liked it people seamed to know what they were doing behind the wheel of the car, basically everyone there drove like me

but he point is, the highway in a busy area wouldn't be much better to open up a ferrari either...

driving in europe is awesome though, if only gas wasn't so d*mn expensive

FYI, if somebody is going to pay and drive a ferrari, go to the dealer that is close to the museo ferrari and you will see that you can really turn it up to speed in that area as seen on youtube which unfortunately can't be seen here because of excessive speed by an eager newbie driver.
