Unhappy Help! My stero & clock won't come on now that I installed my Amp & Subs!

I have an '02 Lancer ES & I recently installed a Kenwood Head Unit. It worked just fine & about 3 days later I decided to install my amp & subs. So I take out the back seat, the trim, & the part of the dash I need to get to the stero, and then I ran the power wire & the RC cable. I ran the power wire up the drivers side to the rubber goblet thingie that is under the dash where my wires run into the quarter panel & into the engine compartment. I used a screw driver to poke a hole in the rubber goblet to get the power cable through it, & then ran the power wire to the battery. Once every thing was installed I went ahead & started the car & my dome light wouldn't come on. So I shut the car off & then turned it back on & the dome light came on! Well then I tryed to turn on the head unit & the head unit doesn't come on! I notice that the clock isn't on either! So I shut the car off, & then to make sure it wasn't the head unit I put the factory stero back in & it doesn't come on either! WHAT THE HECK! Anywayz so I went ahead & checked all my fuses & they are all ok. I made sure that when I poked through the rubber goblet thing I din't poke any wires (I am pretty sure at least). But the weird thing is that on my new Kenwood there is a red light that blinks on it when the face plate is off to make it look like there is a security system, & that still blinks but the power to the face plate doean't come on! Also when I had the factory stero in It ejected the CD that was in the CD player, But you cannot insert another, & it has no power to the face part of it!?!
Anyone have any idea's as to what the problem is, or what I should try next? I would REALLY appreciate a good sound plan of action. Thanks alot everyone! Later!

Drives: A little red Neon. I also have a Lancer that presumably still rolls...but doesn't drive.

I think the fuse for that stuff is under your steering column (more or less), not in the engine bay.

I have a similar problem. I jsut hooked up another amp today to power my front speakers and when I got it all hooked up, the stereo works fine. But none of my gauge lights work now. The headlights do, clock, dome and stereo all work, but the AC controls and gauge cluster lights don't work anymore. Any ideas?

aight, first of all, check all of your wires and make sure they are connected. You want to make sure its not just some stupid mistake. 2nd, i hope you unhooked the battery while you were messin with all of this stuff, cause you may have surged, which could have blown the clock and the cd players motors and face plate. I do know that some bulbs in cd players can still work while other components are blown. And i do know for a fact that clocks love to get blown. I however do not know if the fuses in the lancer are like other guys, and they sometimes are a little bigger than they should and allow those things to get blown in the first place. And hey, does everything else still work, like the starter and other lights besides the clock and cd? hope this helps
