Full Throttle Question

Does anyone else have a pedal stop behind their gas pedal. I think my car used to be a rental before i bought it. It's like a plastic bumper on a stud thats pressed in the floor. I don't know any better so i don't want to take it out if it is doing something.

my car has one and i got it new....DO NOT...I repeat DO NOT remove it...it may cause extra tension on you throttle cbla causing it to snap...your car is at full throttle anyways when it hits the rubber stopper

yeah, this has been covered before, try a search..... but the previous thread came to the conclusion that the us lancer is at full throttle already and removing the stopper won't get you any benefit. you can tighten the cable and get better response time, but that is somewhat risky as well. like i said though, try a search because i know there is a thread about this somewhere

heh i knew my car was broken into and it was rental because i found rental papers stuck between my rear seats and when i took the carpet off in the trunk there was broken glass all over the freaking place that lead to my rear seats also.
